Holding a lead in Texas is an impossible thing. Shame the M's couldn't keep adding runs past the 3rd inning. Ah well...now we get a chance to take the lead back.

Poor guy imploded today and took a loss when he hit a batter to force a run in...in the 14th inning, I liked Pauley but I definitely think we sold high on him.

Ryan on the DL, here comes Luis Rodriguez.

More time to ride the hot bat of Jack Wilson it seems, that is if he doesn't end up on the DL himself.

Oddly, Jack Wilson is sitting today. L-Rod made a GREAT DP in the first, though, a diving catch and threw out the runner at first from his butt.

3-0 M's in the 3rd. Ackley with an infield single, then Carp belted a shot to deep center. There's your future right there, Seattle fans. 11 game hit streak for Carp.

Right now all I want is for history to not repeat itself so soon. I have half a mind to just turn off the TV and take cover if Jeff Gray is sighted today.

Vargas was great today, I thought. 3 runs, but 2 came on a 2-run HR where we allowed Texas 4 outs in an inning. Carp and Olivo ran into each other 10 feet behind home plate on an easy pop fly. He retired the next two easily. Should have been out of the inning.

Well hopefully it means Vargas is over his bad stretch with a nice effort today. 4 walks isn't exactly typical Vargas but ah well, overall good start.

Gentlemen, we have reached the 50 win marker. We must fight on.

Vargas was great against the Angels last weekend, I'm expecting one more quality start then he'll get shelled by Kansas City or something.

Know who's not terrible all of the sudden? Franklin Gutierrez.

Casper Wells got on base 4 times and had the go-ahead RBI single in the 7th. Trayvon looks like he's not quite ready, but Wells has been fabulous.

Carp's OBP is over .370 now.

man, smoak just cant catch a break . . . or a ball. gets hit in the face by a grounder. carp on the other hand gets another hit with 2 rbis. if this keeps up, looks more and more like our 1B will be carp and smoak will be the odd man out come the rest of the season as well as the offseason.

2 hits/3 RBIs by Carp, a bases loaded single for Ackley. 2 hits for Guti, he's raised his BA about 40 points the last week and a half. He's been hitting the ball really well, which is obviously great to see.

Boston's in town, which means it's once again time for me to bitch about how I HATE BANDWAGON NATION. About the only thing that pisses me off more is all of our own no-show fans who allow them to snatch up all the tickets. Blowers: "Red Sox in town for the weekend, the Mariners are expecting big, big crowds all three nights." uuuuuggghh
