smoak

Post#1 » by TTown » Sat Jun 2, 2012 8:38 pm

since may 11, the start of a series @ new york, the smoak monster is 26/76 (.342) w/ 7 HRs. he was hitting .173 going into that series. with another bomb today, he's currently at .242. not where we want it, mind you, but certainly more respectable than his god-awful april. i really want a big summer out of him.

I'm not sure I'd completely given up on him...but I was close. He's looked pretty good again today, and I am hopeful he can keep up this through the end of June to pull his numbers up.

I was thrilled when we traded for Smoak. I loved his potential. But to be honest, I've tired of him and the mediocrity he has brought to the table.

I'm loving the recent resurgence, but until he can do it for an entire season, I'm not impressed.

Finally Smoak comes through with a hit (double).

Sounds like he still might be sent down.
