I think they'll move Nick all around the field to get him at bats and give guys a break. Not a bad plan, especially if he's hitting.

There's plenty of things I wish Jack Z wouldn't have done, but I have a hard time faulting him for that trade. Young starting pitching is such a volatile commodity...all it takes is one injury and the asset is squandered. Montero was such an impressive hitter that I'm just shocked he's turned out to be such a failure.

I have never seen Felix's stuff be so nasty as it is this season. Is it just me? His changeup and breaking ball have just been on another level.

On the pre-game show, Blowers noted that Felix always has his fastball and change up, but some nights hasn't had the feel for the slider and curve. This season, he's been comfortable with all of his pitches in every start. He's amazing...as good as Darvish is, once those two runs scored you figured the game was over.

I'm so F*CKING sick of this F*CKING rule that a pitcher can't complete a game, that he has to come out after a hundred or so pitches. I grew up watching Bob Gibson and Ferguson Jenkins. What? Take me out of the ballgame before I've lost it?

Why can't Felix go nine there and finish what he started? Why not? He had plenty left.

Think outside this new stupid box sometimes, why don't you. It was Felix's game to win or lose.

How any times do we have to watch this blessed pitcher get SHAFTED out of a victory? I can't watch it anymore. It sickens me. Sickens me. Felix should shame this team, this franchise to the World Series.

I had the same question...

That tempered my irritation with Lloyd, at least for the time being. Also, I notice Felix had thrown over 100 pitches in his prior three starts. He entered the game with the 3rd most pitches thrown. If Felix went on the DL right now it would be a catastrophe.

I'm more upset at Miller for blowing a routine play and Rodney for just losing it. Another excellent performance by Felix's teammates. You want to compete? Then don't blow a lead with Felix starting against Darvish. You don't have a chance to challenge for the division if you blow games like this.

Yeah, you're right about the MIller play.

But you know what I'm saying as a Felix and Mariner's fan. It's kidney-stone-painful as a baseball fan, Mariners fan, and Felix fan to see him and the team lose yet ANOTHER game that he had no business losing.

I'll leave it at that.

Goodnight.

Well, if you feel like you've seen this before...

That's staggering. Felix and the fans deserve better.

I didnt think Rodney was that bad. Walked a guy sure, but gave up a groundball where Miller was way overplaying the guy to pull, then the routine grounder Miller screwed up, and then the off the end of the bat game winner. Oh well.

Baseball is so dumb. Glad I wasted 2 1/2 hours for that crap.

Boy that 3rd game in Texas was a step-away-from-the-table game for me. One of those real "OUCH!" games. It just brought back too many bad memories of the last decade for me all at once. Just needed a little break from the M's after that.

That whole series was rough. Seeing Erasmo implode thrice over didn't make me feel any better about this team either.
