tai walker got beat like a rented mule friday night, giving up sixty-three runs in an inning and a third to a bunch of oakland hitters that billy beane apparently just signed off the street, 'cause i had only heard of a few of them.
but then ja happ of all people pitched well enough to win saturday (and cruz finally said hello to the 2015 season).
on sunday, the m's offense uncharacteristically picked up felix after a very un-felix-like start, running up a 7-3 lead into the 9th before fernando rodney proved once again that he's a giant piece of **** and gave up four runs. we are now in extras.
hey, fernando has allowed the first five hitters he's faced to reach. let's stick with this formula, right? mclendon: you betcha!
so we're either 2-4 or 3-3 after today. we've beaten sonny gray and jered weaver, which is great, but we've also been shut out twice and a few of our expected horses have been shelled.
now we get the dodgers for three down in LA. the baseball gods have deemed us worthy and have given us the gift of not facing kershaw or greinke, but your guess is as good as mine whether we can take advantage.
