Through 18 picks in the draft, no trades. Looks like the Toronto/Indy trade may have fallen through with Indy taking a PG and Toronto taking a big man...

no that trade is still going through

dallas needs to trade and get arthur, unfortunately it looks like the spurs will luck out again and get a major steal taking the dallas native

This is disappointing

Cuban should have bought picks before the draft if they were available

noone sells them now, still potential left in the draft

I was hoping Hardin would fall to us but of course Seattle takes him at 50.

He might have been the one guy this late that could have helped...

Nah, I believe Foster is the secret weapon. The guy's a senior, can step in and do his thing. This was a good pick at 31 let alone 51.

* Ron Artest will exercise his Kings option to become a free agent; Lakers, Spurs and Mavs figure to be most fervent suitors.

Do you believe that Artest will actually look at the mavs? We could offer the MLE but then that leaves Diop out, and for some reason the mavs FO loves Diop.

I'd love Artest but Versecy wrote the article so I take it with a grain of salt.

what about Mike Conley. Memphis is going to try to move him. Not sure what it would take though.

For him being a high first round pick last year I can't believe they would move him cheap. I don't think the mavs would have enough assets to get him.

Im a Jazz fan, but I thought I would throw my wanna be GM 2 cents into the thread.

I think you guys should trade for Jeff Foster. Indy added Hibbert and Rasho, which makes David Harrison and Jeff Foster expendable. Harrison has worn out his welcome there and they arent opposed to trading Foster. I think you should look at one or the other, perhaps both. A deal of Stackhouse for Foster would work(not sure what kinda picks you might have to throw in).

I dunno just a thought.

As a back up, he works. Mavs fans arent as down on Damp as other NBA fans are. Still, I would like to include Stack in another deal to try and get a someone that can contribute more than Foster.

Damp
Stack
George S&T
Jones

for

B. Miller
R. Artest S&T
L. Wright

It works with Damp, Stack, and Jones for Miller and Artest (w/o the opting out). Adding George as a S&T and the Mavs getting L. Wright would round it out.

This would give us possibly:
Kidd/Lowry/Sebuitis
Howard/JETerry/S. Foster
Artest/Wright/R.Terry
Dirk/Bass/Pops
Miller/Diop/L. Wright
