Just in time

Piece of *edit*.

You took advantage of Dirk's loyalty and the fans naivety. I hope you spend it all on medicines. Moron.

Would expect nothing less from someone who misrepresented a quote from a credible source, calls the source bogus, and then tried to take credit for the misrepresented quote who is also in love with emojis.

There have been plenty of times I havent agreed with what Cuban has done and there are times I agree with him. Maybe we can get another post about Powell today.

I'm sorry for you corporative guy, the sky isn't falling... But your stupid owner is out. Finally.

You caught me Cuban is my owner and he signs my checks LOL.

I really cant wait to hear you complain when the new ownership and Cuban do something you don't like. It will be all his fault right?

So for those of you that actually live in Dallas like me where do you think the new arena (and resort/casino) will be?

I feel sorry for fake fan like you, the real piece of poopoo. Cuban doesn't owe you nothing. He brought a championship to the city, you can bit ch all day about Cuban, what did you do as a fan instead of whining?

If you don't understand what Cuban made in last 10years you are a casual fan.
We had the low payroll in those span.

The man in your avatar he's been screwed his whole career by him. He is the real man.
Not the fat ass who wanted just make money and don't try to win in 10 years.

The man in my avatar likes Cuban and not whining like a bit ch.
The man in your avatar is as good as your comment.

If they wanted to clean up the Fair Park area this would be a perfect way to do it. I remember that was the original area they wanted to put Cowboys Stadium. The old site of Texas Stadium would be a good choice too. The land is already clear and they just rebuilt all the highways leading to that area.

It's always interesting to see the dichotomy of opinions on Cuban with Mavs fans. I understand fans being frustrated with his decisions post 2011. He made gambles, particularly on free agency, and it didn't work out. He wasted Dirk's latter half of his career. Think everyone agrees on that and it sucks it worked out that way.

But this franchise was in the trash bin before he came. It's not hyperbole to say he saved the team. We literally went from bottom 5 team to a top 5 team the year he came in and went on a spending spree. I appreciate what he did for the franchise. I just hope as a fan that new ownership is willing to spend and do what it takes to make this team a contender in the near future.

Casual fans tend to forget how hard it is to win a championship. Remember 2006? Not mentioning how we won in 2011 was truly a fairy tale. The day Mavs won I told my wife I'm content as a Mavs fan if I only get to witness one championship and it is this one, that's how special it was.

It is easy to trash Cuban when you became a mavs fan not long enough. I am talking about one guy. No name calling. But we all know who he is. lmao.

I agree. I think the younger Mavs fanbase seems to think it's "championship or bust" every year. The instant gratification era. Championships are hard and Cuban was a huge reason why we got 1. I still have the Mavs 2011 championship as one of the best moments of my life. And that's with birth of my kids, marriage and other things later. It was truly special.

Half of the CBA is beause of Cuban and what he did in the 2000s (BYC rule is the Keith Van Horn rule, repeater tax was made because of him and Dolan operating above tax, hard cap on S&T to stop accumulating salary, etc...), anyone who followed these years should appreciate him even had the Mavs not won in 2011.
But that was then, Cuban has become a detiment to the team, his management of the resources resulted is an empty cupboard and capped out team needing to tank to save face.
I'm well aware of the CHO and DET situations, I am freinds with cousins of the Pistons owner, it can be worse, a lot worse, but it also can be much better, even rich and involved owners can make bad decisions, just look at whay Ballmer did to the Clippers.

There are really 3 types of Mavs fans. The younger ones who have only followed the team since they’ve been good (mid-2000’s and beyond). Those typically want instant gratification and think Cuban sucks if they don’t win a title every single season. Then there is the older fans that saw what this team was like before Cuban bought the team. Those guys typically understand winning a title is hard and winning just 1 title is a monumental feat. Then there are the Luka fans. They typically could give a crap about the Mavs as long as Luka plays well.

You wouldn't say the same thing about Clippers if they went 10-0 after trading for Harden. The point is it's easy to judge everything based on hindsight. Otherwise tell me what numbers I should choose for tonight's lottery.

Agreed! I started following the Mavs in 1993. I’ve seen A LOT of bad basketball and A LOT of bad ownership/coaching. I got my heart broke in 2006 when they lost in the Finals (I still say they were robbed). So 2011 was one of the best days of my life as a Dallas sports fan. Obviously I don’t agree with every decision Cuban has made but I also don’t think every decision he has made has been bad.

Both the PG13 and the Harden trades were mistakes w/o the need if hindsight.

Yeah, let's trade Luka for Demar Derozan, we can't evaluate trades beforehand, that's at the level of predicting the lottery...
