This game is the perfect example why they need Kyrie(as the second guard) next to Luka...they Got lucky this time, hopefully Nico is working the phone and upgrades the frontcourt

That's a good win Mavs played well in the 2nd half... offense actually looked good everyone was involved. Hardy should've played more and green less... he was having a great game missed only one shot.

Thats how much faith they have in their defense smh.

All they had to do was guard the 3 point line hard and force them to take a 2
I'll always foul with the way fouls are called on 3s now. Can't remember the year but they didn't foul Nash in the playoffs and he nailed a 3 to put the game into OT and the Mavs ended up losing scorning me for life.

How they got lucky, they played well down the stretch and the better team won.

That THJ travel on the backcourt trap is some JV ****. Be strong with the ball. Also, Kidd, call a TO there boss.

Kidd should have called the TO...he saw THJ was in trouble and at the end of the game refs let defence be more agresiven, physical ..the play happened right infront of him.. you're the coach,do something, help them out :banghead:

Lmao I feel you, but it literally just solid defense for one play. It kills me that we actually have to foul due to fear of the other team hitting a 3. I guess then again you truly can’t play defense

I hope one of the reporters has the guts to Ask Kidd why he didn't call a timeout when THJ was in trouble

I understand why you play the foul game up 3 but I'm not comfortable doing it if Kyrie isn't there. Kyrie is automatic from the line. Luka is not. Credit to Luka for hitting the big free throws though. Good team win despite the struggles early.

Right and the Mavs love data so fouling might be in the lead. I would have be pissed if Wagner hit that 3 though

Thats the part that also scares me and I KNOW he doesn’t want anyone else taking the FT

What do the rules say about Timmys situation...he and Kidd could have called the timeout or anybody on the flor? Luka looked pissed when it happened but I actually think his anger was directed towards Kidd not calling the timeout

They had 2 timeouts... Kidd should've called it, he was right there.

I like that about Luka that he's not afraid of the moment even though he's not the greatest free throw shooter. I sure as heck don't want THJ taking it after missing 3 straight clutch free throws in a game last year. That choke job is forever in my head.

Luka is actually a lot better FT shooter in clutch than during game... it's kind of weird but when it's time to make them he usualy does

Same. I remind my wife about THJ missing those 3 against Denver. She was a former baller herself, so she felt bad for ‘em.

Not sure I understand. Mavs can't control if Orlando fouls regardless of who's there.

It reached Rob Perez, maybe the most popular NBA Twitter account, I'm glad this man's incompetence is getting coverage

What I'm most disappointed is that no reporter asked Kidd about not calling a timeout at the post presser. The guy literally was there, hands on the side, just watching. Gave zero inkling of calling a timeout or even thinking of it. Almost threw the game and no one had the balls to ask about it. C'mon man.
