Kings v Clippers, interesting. On one hand we want to have as much separation as possible from the 7 & 8 seed so Kings losing helps. On the flip side Clippers losing can help too in seeding

Assuming Mavs meet Celtics in the final, I don't see us beating them either unless some key injury happens on their squad.

This is how I would rank to win championship this year as of today:

1st: Nuggets
2nd: Celtics
(the gap here is quite LARGE)
3rd: Mavs
4th: Clippers

I totally forgot about 76ers... they would have some chances too.

Why don't we just ignore each other from now? I sure can do that. Not sure if you can though. LOL

The good news, Pelicans are dropping, the bad new, Kings and Suns are creeping up.
Mavs have an easier schedule, but there are no easy schedules anymore, Memphis beat the Bucks, Nets beat the Pacers and Spurs are a tough team, have to keep pedal to the metal.

Kidd don't **** the best please, let your best friends on the bench. They are very good cheerleaders.

The Bucks screwed themself hiring Rivers, he is a very bad coach. Just like Kidd.
Everybody knew that before the sign, it's time to stop to hire coach just for their name.

The word CONSISTENCY is the Mavs' biggest problem and it is never safe to say we will/can beat anyone. (except the Rockets, just maybe)

Every team had bad L after winning streak, it's natural. NBA is full of good players who can win games.

Kidd is clearly a minus for us but if we doesn't make mistakes about the rotations i think we can finish #5 or 6# easily.

Clippers won, 4th seed dream is practically over.
While this is not the case mathematically, realistically, beating Houston secures the tie breaker against the Pels, Pels and suns can't both win 50, so win against Houston, Hornets and Pistons seals the deal for the Mavs and they finish top 6.

I don't mind getting the 6th seed and playing the 3rd seed not named denver. Kind of scared of the Clippers.
But Mavs really should try to secure the 5th and win the above mentioned games. Maybre rest 1-2 guys for at least half a game?

Hope so, they really need to avoid the playin and the Nuggets in Round 1, so need to be all in for top 6.

What are the least number of games we must win to avoid the play in?

Mathematically it's 4, realistically 3 should be enough.

Luka and Kyrie can win 3/4 games for sure even with Powell and Maxi at the C.
Mostly of them are very easily.

Our defense is improved a lot with PJ.

I know we will beat Rockets Hornets Pistons.

Hopefully Mavs will surprise me today to beat GSW.

Against the Heat and Thunder, I'm not sure.

Hoping we can win as much as we can now and then rest our starters the last game or 2, that would be ideal. Let THJ and Maxi try to break out of their funk, give ample time to Omax and Hardy, and let Powell have some PT because he shouldnt get a lick in the postseason.

It's insane that the Mavs were 8th when Kyrie came back, they went on a 22-7 run, and they still haven't clinched the PO with 4 games left.
Just an insane west this year.

whats the injury report on Gafford? he was seen limping
need to cut back on PJ's minutes. And we gotta keep maxi fresh. Bust out Omax with play-in avoidance nearly assured.
dont want to limp in to the playoffs

Win next 2 and then rest everyone. 10 days break should be enough.
