I agree, win and let the cards fall where they may. However, if there's 1-2 games remaining and we're slated for OKC...I'm okay with looking the other way.

If Luka can play he will play, he is a warrior.

Houston is tough match up but without Sengun ours Cs can dominate again.

Luka is clearly hurt atm. No one really expected mavs to beat Kings two games in a row on the road. So I feel Luka earned himself a break sort of...

We need that 5th spot. Would much rather avoid even a slight chance of running into Denver first round. I’ll take the clippers all day.

Mavs exceeded their exepcted wins with 9 games to go, not a noteworthy feat usually, but, when you account for the injuries, it's very impressive.

Luka should play and Mavs aim for 4th seed. With Jamal in and out, Denver may fall to 2 or 3

Denver fell to the 3 seed tonight, so we're currently matched up against them 3 vs 6. Lots of different matchups can end up happening though but trying to get the 6 spot isn't smart at least right now.

I agree that Mavs should play to win every game.

I doubt Denver finishes 3rd, they have extremely easy schedule.

Clippers got lucky to get a win against the Sixers (with help from the refs). That endgame was crazy. Losing Ingram didn’t make much of a difference for the Pels.

4th seed is possible and they should go for it if Luka isn’t too banged up.

Mavs odds for top 6 moved to 86%, with 28% of top 5 seed.
I considered 3-2 road trip a success, they are already at 3-0, this team is playing very well.
If the Mavs beat the Rockets in Houston tomorrow, then I have them as more favourable for the 5th spot than NOP.

How do New Orleans and Minnesota keep winning despite losing a star? Minnesota is tied for #1 seed.

BEcause he's redundant on their lineup, and replacing him with off ball player like TMIII isn't that bad, it hurts their perimeter creation with CJ off the floor, but for the starting lineup, with Zion's rise, it's not necessarily a bad thing.
Wolves and Pelican must be looking at this and thinking they should be exchanging KAT and Ingram.

Totally agree, Denver has the 3rd easiest schedule and they are still the favorite for the 1st position to me.
The chances of them finishing 3rd are slim, especially since OKC has the 9th toughest schedule(Celtics, Bucks, Knicks, Mavs, Pacers and Kings).

I personally think the Pelicans should trade Ingram to the Mavericks for Josh Green. They can also have THJ and Maxi.

Getting 4th or 5th you'll avoid them first round but will have to face them second round anyway if they're the #1 seed. 6th guarantees you don't play the #1 seed until the WCF.
