The Rockets have won 11 games in a row.

Jalen Green has to come back down to earth.

Rockets 11 in a row, Mavs 6 in a row (10-0 in the last 10 games Luka played).

Something's gotta give.

I can settle with any of the following game plan:

1) Rest up key players, especially one leg Luka, and gift a W to Houston, which will ultimately f up the Warriors!

2) Play proper to keep our winning streak and most importantly we beat the Houston Toilets! :P

The scenario I don't want is we play injured Luka but still lose the game. :banghead:

Mavs match up favorably to the Rockets. At every position the Rockets are smaller than the Mavs. Starting with the Centers, Jabaris Smith is tasked with guarding and keeping the Mavs lob game from happening .
Jalen Green is on fire but Mavs will use DJJ and Exum ,both bigger than Green to shadow him.
Kyrie is bigger than Vanfleet and Luka 's bigger than Brooks and PJ bigger than Amen Thompson.
This is a game for the Mavs to play big if they want to win.

Unless Kidd decides to "match up with them" and play Maxi 35 min.

I think he actually learned his lesson, right?

Pelicans about to lose to Boston, we'll be tied for 5th if we win tomorrow.

I said a few weeks ago I had a strange feeling we were going to face the Clippers again in the first round.

NOLA lost to Boston, thanks KP.

If we win tonight we will finish at least #5 for sure... Maybe Clips are too ahead but we need a revenge against them. I want Clips Blood.

Mavs are 8-2 against Houston in the last ten meetings.

Houston won the previous meeting 122-96. Luka and Kyrie didn't play. We had Grant Williams at the time.

Let's end the Rockets win streak!

From here to playoffs i'm just wondering for how long Doncic's legs are going to hold it together until something gives in. They'll have to duct tape his knees and hamstring even before round 1 lol...

If you play basketball, you know Luka wasn't faking his pain. I am usually against soft load management. But seriously Luka needs some rest.

We don't want another Derrick Rose.

No body is forcing Luka to play ,he's a megastar who knows his aches and hurts the most. Since his game isnt based on exploding to the basket or outjumping the defense but by his handles and bullying his way to where he wants to go then he knows when he can play . He shows us Warrior mentality.

so i guess were all in agreement that high usage rate is bad for luka long term? I have been harping on how playing hurt all the time will lead to injuries... getting the ball inside more, move the ball around more on offense, and kyrie being healthy has taken some pressure off luka. there were a couple of games earlier this year that luka should have sat the 4th but he was chasing triple doubles..we got to do better at resting him.

If you don't include any context then yes, you were right. But that's true for ANY player in the league.

Luka could be standing in the corner for 48 mins not even moving his feet entire game and still have 50% USG if Mavs wanted it. USG rate has nothing to do with injuries. It's something some people in media came up with and they are pushing this narrative about certain players and some people just ran with it and can't stop repeating it over and over again.

Problem is in the minutes played and how those minutes are distributed across the game. Last year he had to play entire 2nd half already in December just to win vs teams who were well below .500. He got burned out at the all star break and things fell apart. This year he also had to play some very heavy minutes due to various reasons, horrible coaching, injuries to Kyrie and others, etc...

You keep repeating ball movement over and over again... What's wrong with ball movement? Have you watched any games lately? PJ and Gafford completely re-balanced the team.

Dallas mavericks are #3 in Net RTG after the trade deadline .They have 3rd best offensive rating and 11th defensive rating and they are behind only Boston #1 and #2 Timberwolves.

If I had to choose when Luka will get a night off, it would be tonight's game against the Rockets and the game against the Hawks because it is the 1st night of back-to-back and let him play both games against Warriors. So in the next 4 games rest him in 2 and let him play 2 and ideally we would have a 3-1 score in those 4 games.

So, let's directly help the Rockets take the play in position from the Warriors.
