If we've learned anything this season is we get demolished when we try to play small. We have two big centers let's use them and let them match up with us.

The only way we'd have homecourt advantage in a series is if we got to the Finals against an East team that wasn't Boston. Despite being the #2 seed in the East we have it over Knicks because we had an identical record but we swept them in the regular season. This team seems to have no fear of winning a game on the road thankfully.

Damn why does Luka have to have a sprain knee? I won't even complain about Maxi or THJ just Luka. :banghead:

A minor sprain can last six weeks, we're not running the gauntlet of OKC, Minnesota or Denver, and then likely Boston without a healthy Luka. Not that I'm guaranteeing we would beat all those teams even with a healthy Luka but I'd like the opportunity to try.

Exactly, especially against the Thunder and their lack of inside presence, yes Chet can block shots but isn't the tallest and my dog weighs more than him. We crushed them after the TDL by going all in on Dlive and Gaff.

So glad they wrapped this up and now have a few days to rest.

Great to see a team effort on D across the board. And hope good things continue for Lively

Giddey has started every game he’s played this year.

He shot 50% on 4.5 3PA in Pels series. This was after the following stretches in regular season:

-Last 14 games of regular season: 40% on 3.1 3PA
-27 games prior to that stretch: 28% on 3.4 3PA

So, he doesn’t shoot a ton of threes either way, but I’m sure Kidd and staff will sag off him to help shadow SGA. Giddey won’t force outside shots compared to Westbrook though.

Gafford’s face. Hyped up Green and Hardy.
Finally a good Mavs team after the rookie gm mistake season of 22-23.

Can we make WCF again?

With healthy Luka we would get OKC rather easily but dont know about Denver

Those are decent numbers. Still we can give Luka that defensive assignments time to time.

Well like I said I wasn't guaranteeing anything. But how good of a shot would we have against Denver without a healthy Luka? Like 0, with a healthy Luka we have a shot even if they'd be favored.

I think Denver is a little overrated though. They faced old stars last playoffs and an unhealthy Minnesota team, and then 39 year old Lebron again so far this playoffs. I don't know that you can even say for sure they'll be in the WCF they have a very tough series coming up with a healthy Minnesota.

What a performance by Ky. I thought Luka moved much better than game 5 - hopefully he regains his rhythm in the next round. Excited for the OKC series. Unfortunately I don't expect Kleber returning for the playoffs.

The following plays secured the W last night, big shout out to our heroes:

1. Gafford poster dunk on Zubac
2. Kai's 4 points play

Denver showed in regular seasons as well that they can execute much better than everyone and win meaningful games. They won two times against Celtics which put most Celt fans and Bill Simmons into depression. If Denver didn't win over them, they'd be even louder this season saying they are the best team ever and ****

Keep pinching yourself. Somehow the Mavs fumbled Brunson and got Kyrie - who is just a pleasure to watch.

DJJR vs Playoff P

So good they need to call phantom fouls

Mavs D?

Imagine thinking that the best move is Luka handing the ball off and getting out of the way

Maxi might be done for the playoffs.

DALLAS -- Mavericks reserve power forward/center Maxi Kleber will be sidelined indefinitely after suffering a third-degree dislocation of the AC joint of his right shoulder, sources told ESPN.

The injury could sideline Kleber for the remainder of the Mavs' playoff run, a source said.

Well crap. With all his deficencies, lineups with him and Gaff or Dlive have been pretty intriguing.

Losing Maxi is a huge blow to our bench depth.

However, in all honesty, this could be blessing in disguise since Maxi will have trouble guarding OKC's young legs.

It sucks it's hurts our depth but in a way I'm relieved, I could just see Kidd thinking he has to go small and play him over both centers and OKC eats at the rim like Harden did. He made the 5 3's in Game 5 which was huge, but other than that he made 2 one game and made 1 in all the others, he's usually good for about one 3 pointer a game overall. He basically does not shoot 2 pointers so other than some perimeter defense and depth it's not some massive loss.

Well, problem is who is going to replace him? And we probably all know the answer, right?
