Thursday: 18-1?!? That should be enough all by itself to earn us a top-five pick in next summer's draft.

Friday, 7:10: Brandon Backe [1-1, 4.86] vs. Joel Pineiro [5-3, 4.50]

Saturday, 6:15: Matt Albers [4-9, 6.05] vs. Wonder Brad [6-6, 5.14]

Sunday, 7:05: Roy "I Own the Cardinals" Oswalt [14-7, 3.29] vs. Todd Wellemeyer [3-2, 3.59]

Our present lineup will be lucky to even get a hit off of Oswalt, let alone score a run off him.

Maybe we can beat Albers. That's the only one I can see us winning. Oh well, doesn't matter any more anyway.

It's official. The Birds are mathematically eliminated after Friday night's loss. Oh well. Last year was nice.

A Pujols sighting last night. Really didn't want to see him up there, considering we've already been through injury hell this season, but him against Lidge was a little exciting even though he got pitched around.

If we lose out I could see us getting the #6 pick, but to be realistic I see us getting the #10-#12 pick.

Ankiel with the two-run triple in the bottom of the ninth...that's what we like to see! Boy do we need for him to be a star next year instead of a head case.

Pujols now sitting on 99 RBI.

Good way to close out Busch for 2007.
