Another freaking no-no. (Almost)

Post#1 » by craig01 » Sun Aug 8, 2010 7:18 pm

Geez, I have watched baseball since the mid 1960's and had NEVER seen a start to finish no-no.

Brandon Morrow is now 3 outs away from a no-no, which will be my 5th in the last 13 months (4 against the Rays).

Here's to a hit in the ninth.

Longoria broke up the no-no with 2 outs in the ninth.

Morrow finishes the game and compiles 17 K's.

Great stuff by Morrow, but the imbecility at the plate by Rays hitters certainly helped.

Some advice to Joe Maddon and Derek Shelton (batting coach); if the opposing pitcher is throwing giveaway first pitch strikes to almost every hitter.....it might be a good idea "once in awhile" to have some hitters swing at them .......

There is no coincidence as to why the Rays lead the AL in K's.

Update: The rays are the only team since 1920 that has had five games of being held to one hit or less.

Remarkable.

Not.
