I hope if they have the lead in the 7th that the rays wont be afraid to use David Price out of the Pen.
I hope Garza can give u 7 good innings like the other night.

cause trust me there is nothing worse then watching your team blow a 3-1 lead

Or a 3-0

Nice job toying with the bosox making them believe they have a shot and then hit em with a Garza 9K - two hit outing. My rays in six predition went out the window but this made a much better finish close to the end. I'm really impressed with Logoria coming up with big hits.

Good luck against Philly................

A great turning point for baseball (not the networks) as the Rays show that you CAN win without spending $200 million..

The trouble is keeping the team together after you win. The other side of Florida has done a good job of developing talent - winning - trading off players. After we won the payroll balloned - some high salary guys were traded. Its hard to stay on top so enjoy the ride.

The Rays will have to pony up some, but not as much as people think.

Pena, Longoria, Kazmir, Shields, Iwamura, Crawford, Garza, and Price are all locked up until 2011-2014, Crawford is until after 2010.

Upton is eligible for arbitration after 2009, and has not yet signed an extension.

After that it may be hard to keep some money in the bank.

Burell looked nice today. There was a little scare in the bottom of the 9th, I think Percival was giving birth to a cow...lol. Team looks great, but we need to bring up Price because the bull-pin is looking thin.

Price will be up before long, but the closer role is scary.

I agree, I expect Belfour & Wheeler to move past Percival this year.

I'm not sure they are going to be enough though.

Wheeler just isn't closer material even though he had around 12 saves last year, and Balfour still needs another pitch (and his durability is always in question as he missed most of 2 years w/arm troubles).

Balfour...maybe

Wheeler.... I doubt.
