Gotta love the rangers front office! I know its just a rumor but its good to see they're looking into anything that can help them win the world series.

I would rather they get neither of these guys and go after Lee or Garza. With the compensations picks no longer in play for loss of rental players than the Rangers should pass on Greinke and Hamels unless they get extensions from Texas.

What do you think about josh Johnson?
I also think they need a good bat or these guys need to step it up.

I'm not sure if our front office is looking to acquire Cliff Lee for what it would cost us from a talent perspective and due to his contract numbers.

13:$25M,
14:$25M,
15:$25M,
16:$27.5M club option

Matt Garza is much more affordable since he becomes a free agent after the season.

Josh Johnson has been suspect this season, and it concerns me, because he has two years left under contract. Granted, there have been many times this season when he never received any run support. 12:$13.75M, 13:$13.75M

Anyone hear any rumors about possibly acquiring Shields and Upton in a package deal?
I heard it mentioned briefily on ESPN radio on Thursday but not sure who was talking about it...think it was Mosley.
