It would certainly help the offense if our two best hitters - Schneider and Jansen - hit in the top half, but at least they're both in the lineup regularly now. And to think this ridiculous organization was trying to Schneider into a platoon role based on next to no data.

It is too much common sense for this organization. Varsho has no business hitting Second. Varsho with another tough day at the plate (0 for 4, Struck out 3 times), and BA now at .227. Take out his one good week in April where everyone got excited, and he is hitting under .200 in the other weeks.

Varsho should be hitting in the bottom of the order. Davis Schneider should be in the lineup on a Regular Basis (DH, LF, 2nd Base, 3rd Base) and hitting in the Top 5. He should not also be sitting so scrubs like Cavan Biggio and Vogelbach get their playing time. Many posters on this forum have been saying this now for the past month, but these morons making these decisions do not see it that way.

However, he was/is proactive, never shied away from the media and things were always exciting with him in charge. I remember he'd be a guest on shows like Bob McCowen and Tim & Sid all the time, and always was a straight shooter with his vision and his moves, it was so refreshing to listen to.

No need to talk about Anthopoulos anymore. Braves ownership in January gave him a Seven Year contract Extension (making him one of the highest paid executives in MLB), and he will be in Atlanta until after the 2031 Season.

In his 6 years in Atlanta, he has 6 Straight NL East Division Titles, and a World Series Banner. Meanwhile Shapiro and Atkins have yet to taste a single playoff win in 9 years in Toronto, which is beyond terrible.

This org doesnt know its own players, otherwise Schneider would remain higher in the lineup, and Varsho could bat anywhere from 5-8,which he has done well in.
There were hardly any lineup switches in our most recent high octane offense years when Teo,and Guriel were here with Dante as hc,and vlad as a triple crown threat.
This newer dumber philosophy is no good, and should be scrubbed.
Its almost like they are being forced to be stupid, and make the same dumb idiotic moves in the lineup that they must know by now wont work, and never work.Fire the nerds!
Who`s running this team ?

The team seems to set the batting order based on “how much have we invested in this player” instead of performance. Springer makes 25 mil a year and was a star player, so we always bar him 1. Vlad is our franchise player, so he always bats 2 or 3. We traded our best prospect for Varsho, so if he has a good game he gets 2 or 5 the very next game. Same thing with Manoah.

Schneider is a call up, so if he has a 0-4 game, he either gets benched or moved to bottom of the lineup the next game.

At least they played well. I did not want to throw my tv into the ocean. Baby steps!
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.
