He's 8th among MLB RPs in WAR in 2023. You won't find too many better than him.

He's had a few shaky innings to close out a game. He has also been very lucky. He was much better last season.

His numbers don't reflect that. His K/BB/HR numbers are basically identical to 2022. If anything, he's been slightly unlucky to have an ERA as high as 2.89.

It gets to feeling even harder when Adam Cimber is brought in on two consecutive nights in high leverage situations with the game on the line.

Yes they do. He has a higher ERA and WHIP is up too. Batters are batting .240 against him. That's 40 points higher than last season.

That's likely almost entirely a product of bad luck. Hitters are hitting him less hard than last season (lower exit velocity, less barrels) such that his xERA is much lower. In many ways, he's probably having his best ever season in the majors in 2023.

Trade chapman

Edit: I'm sorry that was probably an infield hit, I was just angry and frustrated

What is Schneider's fascination with Yimi Garcia this year? He isn't good. Stop using him in high leverage.

Not watching, but was there a reason that the manager pulled Kikuchi (who seemed to be going well) when he has no bullpen for a guy who has been bad all year in the middle of the game?

He was not pleased with being pulled early. He looked better than everyone who came afterwards asides from Pearson.

It’s very frustrating to be playing Biggio and not DHing Kirk when we are playing AL East teams

Man oh man. Having both Vlad AND chapman mired in some of the worst slumps of their careers, its actually a miracle we're winning any games right now. I dont know where this team would be right now without Bo's steady bat. Probably below .500 right now.

Trash bullpen strikes again. Is there anyone in our bullpen that ISNT a ticking time bomb?

Schneider likes to put in terrible relievers as soon as possible

Biggio has played well and arguably had a home run taken from him. The black hole is Chapman at the moment I’d rather biggio in his spots.

Return to Toronto Blue Jays
