Embarrassing, I could live with dog **** defense and idiot base running if he'd hit 35+ homeruns a year. But now he's just a mediocre hitter and closer to bad when you consider his position. Manoah i was sad about but Vlad was a crushing blow that no management could've accounted for.

A 23 yr old near mvp turns into a worse Lyle Overbay less than 2 years later. The contending window was based on Vlad being a "generational" hitter. Pretty hilarious when we start investing in the team the one I thought sure thing ends up flopping more than anyone could've imagined.

Yeah, he pretty much killed any hope this team had at being a real championship contender in this era. I legitimately think we have 3 guys in AAA (Orelvis, Barger, Horwitz) who very well could give more value than him getting regular ABs at first right now. Not that we'll ever get the chance to find out.

On the positive side, with the hundreds of millions Rogers will save on the Vlad extension that thankfully never materialized- hopefully that money can be used next off-season to target a real slugger like Juan Soto.

It's well past time to move him down in the order. Unfortunately our offense is such that it's unclear who is more deserving of being higher up.

I'm sure Guillermo is working day and night to get Bichette, Guerrero, and Kirk going. So not to worry...
