Kirk has been one of their best hitters for a month or so now. No way you're pinch hitting Jansen in that spot when you have black holes like Espinal and Varsho in the lineup in the 6th. Also, is he even available?

He can be on the bench but not available with that wrist problem. This is the same team that left Springer just sitting on the bench the entire game as Espinal took last AB a week or so ago.

Well Varsho for how awful he is with the bat is like the best defensive outfielder besides Kiermaier. Espinal is awful on defense, base running and with the bat. He hardly has a reason to be on a roster nevermind starting games down the stretch.

Varsho has double the fWAR of Vlad. Hes also one of the best defenders in the MLB regardless of position.
