Three games in a no PT for Schneider. Why is he on this roster? He'd be far better off making his adjustments in Buffalo. Probably best for him to be as far away from Guillermo as possible.
Nick Nurse recounting his first meeting with Kawhi:
“We could have gone forever. (Raptors management) kept knocking on the door and I was like, ‘A couple more minutes.’ Because we were really into it."

He’s clearly been determined to be a platoon player for this team and they haven’t faced a LHP yet. He’ll be in tomorrow

Votto is done, Vogelbach is significantly better

I don't disagree, but the fact that we're counting on Vogelback as an impact bat speaks volumes to the state of this lineup.

Far too early to declare him a platoon player, IMO. It would be far better to have him in Buffalo playing every day.

I’m just telling you what is clearly his place on the team, not that it is the correct place.

And you obviously wouldn’t be better off having him in Buffalo, let’s be serious.

John Schneider is already in mid-season form.

Hard to believe Serven is the best 3rd string catcher we could find.

Only reason not to hit Kirk there is because he’s hurt

Serven hitting in that spot instead of Kirk is ridiculous.

The Jays care so little about winning these games that they can’t have Kirk catch for 2 innings on his off day.

Not a serious org

Yeah I really don't see how this is a playoff team, unless the pitching can replicate what they did last season, which will be very tough. Not enough good hitters, and the org doesn't seem to know how to optimize the talent they do have (ex. Schneider against RHP in 2023: .846 OPS in the Majors (87 PA) and 1.011 OPS in AAA (363 PA), so using him as a platoon player only facing lefties is ridiculous).

Pretty dumb by Cabrera to do 2 half ***ed throw overs to give Randy an easy steal lol.

Should honestly do that every time in the Kikuchi and Gausman starts when you’re more likely to get strikeouts and flyballs
