Sounds like an overpayment if its just 2 for 1.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

They both must be pissed about the trade, and Teo.Its not good losing guys that like playing for you.
Varshow is a LHB.Must also be good defensively, and thats what Atkins will say.

Had a feeling gurriel was on the block after trading Teo. Points to emphasis of changing clubhouse

Varsho had a 4.6 WAR last season, higher than any Jays position player in 2022 (Bichette lead with a 4.5 WAR). He is a left handed bat with power who plays a great centerfield and can also catch, so he's effectively the 3rd catcher on the roster as well. If you want to argue that Moreno should have been traded for a more established "star", then that's fine, but Varsho is pretty much the dictionary definition of what the Jays needed and comes with 4 more years of team control.

Whether the trade ends up working out for the Jays remains to be seen, but it's a pretty logical swap.

daulton varsho is not good... like nothing about his offensive profile is exciting. Unless Shatkins think that Moreno's loss of power stroke is real, this is another **** trade in a line of **** trades.
Essentially, if Bo and Vlad don't stick around in 3 years, this team is absolutely back in the tank again. (also clearly, staying below the tax threshold is a thing in this case. FU Rogers).

There must be another player or more coming back. There is no way this just happened.

This trade was about defense. And he's had a higher war than anyone on our team last year. You can be meh on the trade but Varsho is good.

Whats everyone complaining about? We got the best outfield defender from last year that can hit for power, is a lefty, and can catch.

Moreno is still a nice prospect and gurriel is 27 and will be a free agent next year

I don't care for Gurriell at all lol was a idiot in the field, has 0 power now. His best value was his 7/21 contract.

Holy **** this is bad. Someone please convince me otherwise. The #3 overall prospect AND Gurriel (who is on a great deal) feels like a massive overpay for a 106 wRC+ 26 year old with one good season.

Don’t get the “reclamation project” and he’s not good talk. He’s definitely good. And the timeline is good. It’s just if he’s Moreno and Gurriel good.
9. Similarly, IF THOU HAST SPENT the entire offseason predicting that thy team will stink, thou shalt not gloat, nor even be happy, shouldst thou turn out to be correct. Realistic analysis is fine, but be a fan first, a smug smarty-pants second.
