Just think of how many midlife-crisis-mobiles Vlad can buy with that money.

I was just thinking, we might have the least in-shape pitcher, and the least in-shape position player under the age of 25 in the league!

(actually, maybe the least 2 In-shape position players in the league, considering Kirk!)

When Vlad cared about fitness,he almost won the triple crown. Now that he doesn,t as much,he is where he is;wherever that is.

Vlad's poor defense even showing up in All-Star games.

Romano injured. That'll hurt the pen in the 2nd half.

Well, hoping that that was mostly precautionary.

Jays also doing their usual baserunning blunders to cost games in the AS game as well.

He's hitting .184/.244/.404 since the start of June, and he's 13th in wRC+ and 16th in fWAR among NL outfielders. He shouldn't really be an All-Star, heh. He basically Espinal'd it, where he performed well enough for the first couple months that no one noticed that his performance was already swinging hard back toward the mean when the ASG rolled around.

Totally. And I almost didn't comment, because ya.... he's not an Allstar. And there are sooo many other facets that resonate with his appearance tonight.

Why couldn't he have had such a hot start for the Blue Jays in the YEARS before we traded him? Wow,, THIS year!!?
The fact that Varsho has been quite bad makes it sting worse...
The yucking it up in the dugout with Vladdy makes it sting worse...
The fact we seem to have traded the best 2 players in a 3 player trade makes it sting worse...
The fact we are barely in a WC spot makes it sting...
And ya, he's not really an all-star ,,, yet there he is!

So, anyway,, I'm sure Ross is thrilled with seeing Lourdes at the game and getting face time.

Catching the game on delay - why is the National League wearing fitted black slacks and looking ready to head to the office instead of the ballpark.
