It really wasn't a great trade if last year was the barometer. Moreno had a better season than Varsho, while also being 3 years younger. Varsho would need to significantly outproduce Moreno for the trade to be a win for us.

I thought the trade was Moreno and Gurriel for Varsho?

He wasn't. Kirk is just the catcher we decided to keep. He has no bearing on this trade being a win or loss for us.
