i don't see why we would have the contact play on when the infield is in? either dumb tactical decision or standard biggio-level baserunning

Fantastic baserunning by Biggio, once again.

Man, I would have loved to have had a runner on third there.

Another Low IQ decision made by Cavan Biggio. With the infield in like that, he should have had the sense not to run home in that situation. Might as well have left Brandon Belt in the game.

the cavan biggio experience at its finest

come in as a pinch runner, get thrown out at home easily. first AB, backwards K.

I am surprised the Mets did not walk Guerrero, to face Cavan Biggio with First Base open. An idiotic managerial mistake by Showalter. Next time I would just leave Belt in the game, since Biggio has proven to be equally useless on the bases as with his bat.

I would take Guriel back in exchange for Varsho right now in a heartbeat.

Yes, I too want a defensive sieve who will be a FA in the offseason, rather than a cost-controled centre-fielder of the future.

I know Guriels not coming back.I was speaking out of frustration of being sick, and tired of this offense, and maybe Guriels presence would help Vlad, because he misses him,and Teo.A .300 hitter sounds great right now. They should also extend Kiermaier if they can.

Showalter pitching to Vlad with a base open and Biggio on the deck is almost as dumb as using Ubaldo Jiminez over his elite, unstoppable closer in a tied elimination game. Not sure how he keeps getting hired in this league.

Didn't see the play, but I assume Biggio was going in contact? Not totally his fault?? Bad luck? I usually support aggressive tactics in the later innings....

Looked to me like the contact play was on. Whit just hit it softly and perfectly right to Lindor so that he didn't have to do much at all to get the out.
