Ohtani takes great care of himself, and its obvious...unlike some of our own players.
The only concern now is the injury to Trout, and how that could impact Ohtani.

Through 5 innings, the Jays are making another terrible pitcher like Lance Lynn with an ERA over 6, look like a CY Young winner. Happened too many times this year. Just awful to be shut out by this guy so far, with only one hit. Leaving no margin for error for Berrios.

Everyone except Bichette and KK are hitting worse than expected this year. It’s a shame we can’t have one year where everything clicks. Last year it was Berrios/Kikuchi, this year it’s Manoah/Kirk/Vlad.

Varsho has been great defensively, but from what we are getting offensively from him, I’d rather keep the assets, keep Teoscar, and take the defensive hit. What’s Varsho providing that is different from KK that warrants our best prospect in Moreno?

Time for a new GM to clean up this mess for 2024. Absolutely atrocious to watch this team on a consistent basis make struggling and terrible pitchers look like CY Young winners. Outside of Springer (his contract which would be hard to move), and Bichette and Vlad- i would not mind an overhaul of this entire lineup. I would be willing to sacrifice some run prevention guys like Varsho, Chapman, and Kiermaier to get better offensively in those positions. Guys like Biggio have no business getting regular at bats, and he made another error that was lucky to not cost Berrios. Cannot believe there is nobody better than this scrub in the Minors.

This is the worst offense I've ever seen.

Shapiro and Atkins should be embarrassed to spend 212 million (7th highest in baseball) on this atrocious offense. Making terrible pitchers look like CY Young candidates on a consistent basis.

Why is Biggio hitting with the game on the line again with a better hitter (Jansen) on the bench

You can't expect this team to get a second hit this game. Only way to win is walks, balks, and errors.

Why isn’t Varsho stealing when they aren’t defending 3rd base?

Now is the time to extend the hitting whisperer, Guillermo Martinez. 10 years $20M AAV should do it.

It seems dumb for the manager to repeatedly allow a bad contact hitter to strike out with the game on the line when you have better hitters on the bench. I guess it could be worse, though, it was only the 2nd time this week that happened.

Biggio fails again and again, while Jansen sits on the bench. This team's love affair with a scrub like Biggio is beyond belief.
