Mayza ice in his veins bases loaded against a MVP and got a weak ground ball.

2 crazy high scoring squeakers for wins. One against the Cards and then now. I’ll take it.

Looks like this season is the same as last season. These games are fun, but this isn't sustainable winning baseball (the whole needing to score 10+ runs every 2/5 days).

We're also now 3-0 in one-run games. Starting off 2023 with the same winneryness we had in 2022.

Only needed 3 pitches to back Godtani into a corner and force the weak dribbler.

Chapman looks like a man on a mission. What a game today. MVP start to his season.

The no shift rule is creating so many more base hits on the ground.

Watching that game counts as my cardio for the week, right?

WOWZERS.

We were out of it, then we were destined, then I just spent an inning and a half internally screaming.

Gosh, I love baseball.

For a man with the initials KK, he sure does hit a lot.

Win probability like a roller coaster with a serious design flaw:

Only on Tuesday, Thursdays, Saturdays and Fridays when it's a full moon. He is just as capable right now of screwing the pooch (like he did Friday) as he can dominate for an inning and a third (as he did today). Let's see if they stretch out or reduce the length of Zulueta's appearances. Right now, I'd guess they think he still might be a starter.

He has been over the course of their respective careers. Has Kiermaier suddenly transformed into a good hitter at age 33? Almost definitely not. Is it really funny that he's carrying us offensively given that he's not a very good hitter? Yup.

Cavan actually has a higher OPS+ this year still which is funny.

Kiermaier on the way to being the greatest Jay ever after the first 10 games.

I actually liked the fact that we trusted even the terrible Richards over Mayza against any RHP in high leverage. A sign of some progress for Schneider, he managed the 10th properly.
