That's our 30th one-run win of the year. Still have work to do to catch the 1984 Jays (34) for the franchise record

Big Nick from NY isn’t liking tonight’s loss to Toronto or the fans at Rogers Centre.

don't get me wrong, any win against the yankees is a great one

but what in the **** world was biggio doing not tagging on that bichette F9. how are you born on a literal baseball field and make that mistake exactly. ok, it was a tough catch, but you gotta assume he's catching it until he doesn't in that situation. they say slumps don't affect defense and baserunning but biggio just took a dump on that idea. gotta consider not rostering this guy for the playoffs.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

I was frustrated when it happened, but I'm actually not sure it is so damning here when looking at it now. Generally it is taught to go halfway on a flyball/line drive with 1 out (because the net benefit of an extra base between 2nd/3rd is minimal with 2 outs). Now ideally he would recognize that Judge was going to catch that ball earlier than he did (and many baserunners in his position would have), but Bichette did hit that ball very well (101.4 MPH off the bat with a .620 xBA) and Judge made a pretty good play on it. He should have tagged but being on the conservative side in that situation isn't the worst thing in the world.

to be honest, i'm just looking for an excuse to dump on biggio because i ignorantly thought there were no outs at that point (missed the whole inning except the vlad AB). and when i saw the replay, without sound or score chyron, biggio stood no chance against that incoming scathing post, given his uselessness of late.

Caleb Joseph called that great baserunning. Not sure what it is, but the most important thing in that situation is obviously not getting thrown out. Given that there were two outs, the risk of getting thrown out outweighs the benefits of getting to third.

Hearing a Yankees fan complain that Jays fans 'only cheer when their team scores' is so bizarre, as the Yankees are one of those teams where their fans will boo if they're not scoring.

I just got home, that was the most amazing experience. I am so stressed out. Goddam.
125 is an amazing section. 100% worth the treat.
There were a few jankee fans, but luckily not as many as I was anticipating.
That comedian guy was a few rows down from us, as were more other celebrities. I didn't even notice him recording thetwitter video I was probably too busy screaming.
Gausman started off rocky and teed up afterwards as usual.
I missed whatever highlight catch happened mid-game because I was buying beer.
Bass' walk up song is The Next Episode. that is fun.
I thought the ball was hit way too shallow for BIggie to tag up, a lot of people were upset, I guess he should have taken the risk. Thank goodness, it didn't end up mattering.

Looks like Judge is hitting #61 tonight with Berrios on the mound.

Yankees fans are so soft. The amount of whining they do is crazy. They got mad Vlad celebrated a walk-off win in late September like what? Lol

Yep.

But really,,, "F this team!"??? They've literally won the division at 94-59 with a historical side-bar story in Judge.

Seems a little drunk and bleary-eyed though...

Just look at previous series' threads... the way people talk after a loss makes it like we are out of the playoffs for good.  surely you can sympathesize with him.
raf1995 wrote:I just don’t think he has that kind of potential. I think we will regret not trading him for a haul in a few years when he’s a mid-tier starter with nice playmaking and defense and a shaky jumper.
