Kenny Williams cheated us!

My bro and wife are behnd the Jays' dugout tonight. They'll be catching 5 Jays games in ChiTown/Milwaukee this week...

Rejected signs:

Chicago is Blue Jays kind of town!
Pale Hosers agree, Blue Jays are the best!
Kirk goes deep dish!
Jays wash Sox!

The broadcast looks a lot better without that fake strike zone. It’s never been accurate,

Tapia’s on a heater. Can’t forget garbage metrics like WAR says otherwise.

What metrics have said he's had a good season tho? I'll admit he's on a nice run after a dreadful start and glad he's playing better cause I like want the jays to win lol

These all-black Sox uniforms are so ugly.

There are literally no metrics that say that Tapia is good, and if one developed a metric that suggested that he was good this year, that'd be an excellent indication that you have a calibration error. He's been better at the plate over the past few weeks, certainly, but at the end of the day he's a bad hitter who is an even worse defensive outfielder.

Berrios having a 5+ ERA this year was not on my 2022 bingo card. Was really excited about the potential of our rotation coming in but gotta hope Yusei and Berrios can steady their play a bit.

The Jays badly need to trade for a starter and sooner rather than later would be nice.

We're going to need Gausman to steady his play too. The dude has turned into a bum his last few starts. Everyone except Alek has been inconsistent this season.

You’re wrong. Clearly those advanced metrics that only johanliebert has access to, indicate he’s a great player.

What I find fascinating about the argument is that Tapia is terrible in 1940s statisticals, as well. His OBP is awful. Drives in the least runs of any of our regulars. He hasn't even been a good base-stealer; Teoscar has as many as he does.

Even if you believe that WAR is a fake stat, there's just nothing about Tapia's game that is good.

The good news, I guess: while Tapia is 181st out of 183 players in fWAR, Grichuk is 179th. So we didn't lose anything in that deal.

Gausman looked ready for a Cy young type season too and has been the exact opposite. Gotta hope he finds out whatever the f is wrong with his splitter.
