We've been below an 80% chance to make the playoffs for exactly one day all year (we had a 79.2% chance on July 11).

Why are the Orioles odds so low? I don’t understand what that is based on.

FGs projections think they are playing above their heads and will perform accordingly over the next month. If you do it by the season-to-date stats, it's much more even between the Jays (68%) and Orioles (41%) to make the playoffs.

The Orioles are absolutely playing above their heads, though. Very good bullpen but some of the worst starting pitching in baseball, and a very mediocre offense (with zero depth). They could certainly beat us to a playoff spot, because baseball, but they're not at all favoured to do so.

2nd Wildcard is clearly the worst position to be in, but I can see some discussion between facing Guardians/Twins on the road, vs #2 WC team at home.

That said, the other advantage of sitting at #1 for the WC standings, is it puts the Yankees in our sights, if they continue to falter.

Romano the best closer we've ever had? That was awesome to watch!

Gurriel Jr. should not be batting so low in the lineup. He's arguably one of our best hitters this season.

Vladdy has been hitting into so many double plays this season. He must be right up there for the league lead.

He's having one of the better seasons a Jays' closer has had, but to be the best, you also need longevity.

Tom Henke was one of the best closers in the history of MLB

Romano has a long way to go to challenge the terminator
