We've been on a 100 win pace since Montoyo was canned. Also the first time we've won 90+ games in consecutive seasons since 1991-1993.

Time to run out the scrubs, methinks. Tampa can't catch us, and I'm not terribly worried about Seattle running the table.

I don’t think we can use anything other than our “A” lineup tonight or until it’s officially locked up. If Baltimore sweeps us, which isn’t entirely unlikely if we don’t get some offence with Berrios, white, and kikuchi being presumably the 3 starters for series, I’m not very confident in Detroit taking 2 of the 4 from Seattle

if we get swept then the mariners would need to go 3-1.
if mariners go 2-2 then they only end up with 89 wins. we already have 90.

Bautista outplays his contract by more than $70 million over the next four seasons (2013-2016).

Yeah, realized that after, but was too slow to the edit lol. Still not overly confident in Detroit winning more than 1 of the 4 games. I’m guessing we’ll need to win at least 1 more

the weather in baltimore for the duration of this series is not looking great, really at all. i'm not sure if thursday is a make-up day on the MLB calendar (would hate to play thursday) but if not, then we're possibly looking at a double-header at some point. nonetheless, not playing our top guys in sloppy conditions and avoiding injury risk is probably a priority, even over rest and maintenance.

Seattle is bad. They've been dropping games to scrub teams left and right the past few weeks.
