Lol Clean up hitter trying to put a bunt down with runners in scoring position.

Maybe he can get a hit that way

Nice JT, felt like we never got hits in those situations last year.

Shesh it's like they want to expose and make him fail?

Not sure, but it has probably cost them runs twice now in 2 innings. If Varsho has to be in the lineup against a LHP, he certainly shouldn't be batting cleanup.

Hitting Varsho over Kirk in the order is so weird lol

Turner good pickup. I feel like the varsho trade will be discussed forever. I’m not sure why they didn’t go hard for another bat like bellinger instead they picked up another no offence fielder. Makes no sense after what happened last season.

This Varsho hitting cleanup experiment will not last long, of that i am sure. Varsho will be hitting 7th or 8th before the end of next week.

Yes, absolutely.

Jansen? Let's see if he's can even play a season at this point he's catcher version of Travis, always injuried, waiting for him to put ax season together and about to get paid.

Let's pay him well for half season each year, cause that's all we were gonna get

Jays won't be paying him, that's for sure. That's why it is good to have a top 5-10 catcher in baseball already on the team in Kirk.

Then we aren't going to have the vaulted catching duo that is better than 1 player.

And on top of that, Jays are concerned playing kirk more than like 100 games, because they are scared about his durability or something.

I don't think it's an experiment. It's only happening because Bichette is hurt.

Think they are just trying to artificially prop up his confidence knowing all the talk about "improvement" going into the season. Unfortunately this guy does not have the batting ability and should not even be sniffing a place within the top 6 in the lineup. 7th-9th is where he belongs.

I mean most catchers don't catch a ton over 100 games. Aldey caught 110, and Sean Murphy caught 102 its a physically demanding postion.

That was one of the best catches you'll see all season. The guy had to run full speed into a wall to have any chance.

I get that but we are gonna go from kirk/Jansen to kirk and some 3rrd stringer catcher if we don't re-up an oft injuried catcher. It could have been kirk and Monroe... Or very least could have grabbed a better outfiekder than varsho , but I suspect they wanted the control varsho had. Anyways this is rehashing... Either way dude should be batting at bottom of the lineup until he proves otherwise

Turner has been a pleasant surprise so far. If we can get 90 RBIs out of him that would be considered a huge win. Basically doing what we brought Varsho in to do last year.

Maybe they should play the guy who looked like 2010 Jose Bautista last year.
