Correct, they were saving Bowden Francis for a role after Yariel on Friday and didn’t care whether they won or lost this one.

Utterly pathetic team.

Romano and Swanson had no business pitching high leverage save situations IMMEDIATELY after rehab. What happened to easing them into the season? Yet this red faced cretin puts them in as though its the middle of July.

This roster makes absolutely no sense at all.

Daniel Vogelbach is a net negative and an awful use of a roster spot.

What’s the problem with him? Entire roster is basically filled with defensive players. No harm in having a hit-first DH/pinch hit.

I was there at the Rogers Centre when Judge crushed Home Run 61 against Mayza, so not a surprise. Only an idiot like Schneider can mismanage the bullpen like he did. He did not get burned yesterday, but of course his stupidity will prevent a sweep of a Division Rival.

I'm afraid that our offense is so lethargic that we think Daniel Vogelbach is weapon.

Literally lost the potential sweep last week in very similar fashion, although this time it was readily apparent we didn't really care at all about winning this one (Francis needs to be in for Judge there and you can figure out Friday's game when it comes).

Games like this are why this team will end up winning 90ish games at the end of the year again in a WC position rather than 95+.

And while I presume he wasn't asked this, they didn't use Francis because they wanted to save him for a game in two days. Such garbage.

Why? He was utter trash in all of his rehab appearances. What made you, or any competent MLB manager think that this guy was ready to be put into a save situation against the best hitting lineup in the AL? Same goes for Romano. It was sheer luck we got out of the game with a 1 run win yesterday with how bad Romano looked.

This is also on Atkins for sending Pearson down yesterday, when they could’ve waited until the off day tomorrow to make this move, when they knew Green's arm was sore after Monday. You do not throw Swanson in the high leverage situation you did, when he has been struggling in his rehab appearances. Utter incompetence from Atkins to Schneider. What a disgrace.

Agreed. If they knew about Green's situation when they made those moves, it says even more about how little they apparently care about these games.
