Well he just gave up 3

So a loss it is then?

Oh for sure

Better hope that Springer, Guerrero and Bichette dont get another AB this game if we plan on winning.

Swanson literally had a 12.6 era coming into this game and looked like the worst RP on the roster since his return

Any decent manager/organization would clearly wait until he has a good outing or two before continuing to use such a pitcher in high leverage. Not this organization of absolute clowns though. They are probably still waiting for the analytics to tell them he sucks rather than just actually watching the games and figuring that out for themselves.

Redface and his terrible bullpen management continues. Swanson has been tossing beach balls out there all season but nope, let's roll him out there in a 3-1 game. **** idiot.

Who had Bichette at negative WAR into May on their bingo card?

You can't keep Springer, Vlad and Bichette at the top of the order if you hope to win games. That being said, if at least 2 out of 3 don't perform at a high level, this team isn't going anywhere anyways.

Can we not just send Vladdy and Bo down? Teach these underachievers a lesson.

How is this team supposed to score runs when the entire clubhouse looks at the trash at bats of Springer, Guerrero and Bichette on a daily basis with zero repercussions? When you see that your star players, your highest paid players arent doing their jobs, you dont think that has a ripple effect on the rest of the lineup?

Wish Dante was still here. :banghead:
For what its worth...would like to see tham bat Springer 1 Bo 2 Vlad 3 Turner 4 Varshlo 5(or switch em both with Varsho 4,and Turner 5) ....... KK 9... see what happens....
But they wont even try that. They wont try anything different or sensible. Its all SchneiderKinSpiro`s analytical arrogance.
They are trying to use analytics to fix this, then they can justify that it has been effective- .
Probably because the starting pitching has been good enough to win games. Its a miracle we are two games under .500 with this offense.

Jays got 2021 Bullpen with their 2023 offense, such a great combination.

I expect the front office/analytics team are inflexible stats nerds that don't recognize and/or value the human element. How else to explain pulling Berrios last year, Shoemaker in 2020, etc. They are probably clutching their spreadsheets right now, assuring themselves the automatons (sorry, players) will start to play better any time now. They've sucked so much of the enjoyment out of this team.

If the players are dejected, it's for good reason. They have a manager that regularly costs them games, a front office that is so inflexible it doesn't even appear to reward performance, and a coaching staff that an onlooker such as myself can only conclude is nearly completely ineffectual.

Maybe they will trade Jansen for a reliever with 3 years of control left at the deadline. Middle of the order bats for 7th inning relievers. What can go wrong?

1. mayza and richards are not mlb level pitchers.
2. either the hitting coach is not doing his job or bichette, guerrero have lost it.
