Why is the manager pinch running with our best hitter again lol

LOL at the visual of that Janssen slide. Sums up the Jays season.
Bunt itself was well executed.
Baserunning was terrible.

And it burns them immediately....maybe pinch run with an actual good baserunner instead of your best hitter?!
It never ceases to amaze just how dumb this team is managed

Why was KK or Biggio not the pinch runner for Kirk

Bringing Manoah up after 1 good AAA start reeks of desperation.
Organization can be defined as an organized body of people with a particular purpose. Not random.

It reeks of an organization that has no clue what it is doing.

Of course. Need to get KK and his .190 batting average in the game at all costs!

Except not when you could actually use him as a pinch runner instead of your catcher

Tbf, werent they literally out of options? From what Dan said every single one of their backups are injured right now. It was either Manoah or a bullpen day for a bullpen thats already depleted AND one of the worst in baseball. Pretty sure this was indeed a no choice scenario.

No, Berrios started on Tuesday and was on regular rest. They also have two days off this week. They had not one reason to start Manoah today and still do so anyway.
Most unserious franchise I've ever seen.

With the off day a couple of days ago, you could have simply had Berrios pitch on his normal 5 day turn. That was the most logical decision, which was too complicated for this organization.

Got the loss they deserved for starting a minor leaguer in this game

The next 11 Games are against Philly, Minnesota, Baltimore and Tampa. This team could easily be 8 to 10 games below .500 after these 11 Games. I can see Schneider being canned, and being made the scapegoat by this incompetent front office if this team goes on a losing streak.

If we do go for a rebuild, I really hope we don't pull a Masai and let our assets become worthless before deciding to pull the plug. There's a lot of decent pieces on the team who'd fetch a good return, especially with a lot of teams trying to contend right now. Our farm system sucks. A fire sale this season could go a long way towards jumpstarting the rebuild.
