Jays @ Gnats - Two Bad Teams (May 3-May 5)

Solid start - 7 baserunners in 3 innings, 3 runs. This will probably be as good as it gets for the rest of the weekend.
Not watching as I assume many are not either.

Going for very minor positives, Vlad is hitting .381 in the last 6 games, with 3 extra base hits.

What the heck is wrong with Bo?? He's our worst hitter right now.

Apparently Jays have yet to decide if Manoah will pitch Sunday. They had him throw a side session in Indianapolis today... to be prepped for either starting in AAA or MLB Sunday.

I'm not for calling him up.
That being said, make up your damn mind - yes or no. Why wait this long. If he is going to get the start, get him in the proper mindset to do it.

Bo doesnt look remotely close to having a breakout/turnaround. He just looks completely disinterested at the plate. Might need a 30 day stint in AAA like Manoah.

Eric Smith needs to understand that you don't need to talk the entire time on radio.

Maybe Eric Smith follows the Yankees TV Broadcast and Michael Kay. Watching that one tonight -- Michael Kay and the other guy literally never shut up talking about some stupid crap... or whining about other teams (like Baltmore dimensions)

In general yes but baseball always plays different. It's more of a slow paced and quiet affair and sometimes ballpark sounds just fit. Eric just goes from 1 thought to the next. Chris Larue is sometimes struggling to find his moments to interject.

This team has been consistently displaying a common pattern. They tend to score most of their runs in the beginning of the game and then go silent for the rest of it. It's frustrating to see how this offense is constructed, especially considering the quality of our pitching. It's a shame to waste such potential.

Could Yusei Kikuchi fetch a pretty good return at the deadline?

Hot take, but i dont think Guerrero reaches even 15 HRs this year. I dont know what the current projections are, but they cant be any higher than 15HRs 60 RBIs.

Better hope he doesnt give up more than 2 runs, as we've already hit our run quota of...check notes....3 runs for the day.

Literally just throwing games away with struggling RPs for no reason now on this team
