D-Backs at Nats

Series concludes today with Barry Enright opposing Strasburg, who is coming off the first poor start of his career. Nats bounced back from the Marlins sweep with a nice 4-2 win Friday, as Lannan pitched well and Sean Burnett recorded a two inning save against the D-Backs' primarily lefty-hitting lineup.

Last night really all there was to talk about was Jason Marquis getting shelled again. He gave of three homers and maybe half the outs he recorded were on hard-hit balls somewhere. Ian Desmond made a particularly nice double play in the first, and seems to perhaps be settling in a bit in the field. He's hitting well too.

Most of the talk in the stadium is focusing on the Harper deadline.

They'll get Harper signed, seems it's mandatory that these things only resolve themselves in the final moments.

Nats win the swing game. Strasburg is solid, but Clippard, Burnett, and Storen are flawless to end it. Josh Willingham provides the big blow with a two-run shot to tie it at three, then Ian Desmond's RBI single and Zimmy's solo shot are the difference.

Nats on the road until next week's home series with the Cubs/Cards.

Interesting day at the Park as play was stopped while four people ran on the field at various intervals. It may have been the first time anyone had done that there and the ushers/police were woefully unprepared for it.

No tasers, unfortunately. They were protesting the Arizona immigration law, and you have to wonder how they'll boycott Arizona and the 25-30 other states that could follow Arizona's lead...
