Well, time to see where BB's future lies, couldn't blame him if he follows the $$, know I've done that for my family. But legacy is a lot to a professional athlete, and 2 rings is always better than 1

Well the offseason started exactly like the last, DJ is our first signing. I'm fine with that but would like another center.

Edit: and we lose Bruce to a 2/45 deal with the Pacers...

I don't like Reggie Jackson's deal as a 1+1 player option, instead of a team's option. He didn't prove even in 2023 that he is useful enough for a contender team, so, in 2025 at 35 would he be worth $5M for a team in salary cap hell?

Read on Twitter

This is the type of deal I want to see this summer.

A cheap, useful, 6th man (with Braun) with good defense.

I'm not sure Jordan wants to stay in NBA anymore to play for veteran minimum as a former all-star who finally grab the ring.

And sure enough, they sign Jordan to a veteran’s minimum. They telegraphed that move.

DAJ was a solidifying influence on this team throughout the season. At a veterans minimum not a terrible deal, wouldn't surprise me to see him transitioning into a coach somewhere.

You DO have to have some trade chips with salary on every team, hopefully that's his role here later in the season.

What are the odds that any rookie gets playing time?

Depends on how they do in SL and Training Camp. Wouldn't surprise me to see Pickett get some PT, but that depends on which Reggie Jackson comes to play for our WORLD CHAMPION Nuggets !!!!

How about you ?

I know it's still early in Free Agency but the lack of signing another big concerns me. I am still a believer in Zeke but not so sure the FO feels the same as I do. He needs to stay healthy, continue with his high pct shooting but more importantly, prove he deserves his $4M salary....before the trade deadline. If he can get into this rotation, that'd be a HUGE plus for this team.

1st round pick will be given a long look. The remaining picks are likely headed for the G league. Not much of a gamble there.

Probably better than ever under Malone because we drafted #32 and #37 two 23y old players as the oldest in the whole 2023 class (out of TOP40 picks) so they are older than Bol Bol which we drafted in 2019 or Nnaji and RJ Hampton who we drafted next year in 2020. Our #29 was also not 18, 19, or 20 old but 21 (like Christian Braun when we drafted him in 2022).

Previously the oldest guy we ever drafted under Malone was Monte Morris, who was almost 22y at his 2017 draft, and despite he played only 3 games in his rookie season, he takes a big 24mpg role the very next season at 23.

Looks like Jeff Green just signed with HOU for $6M on 1-yr deal. Zeke just got more important and HOU got more foolish

Looks like we will be relying on Watson, Braun, Nnaji and maybe Strawther next season.

FO has decided to bet the whole bench unit on players development, hence no signings in FA. I think this is extremely risky, I don't see a Braun Watson Nnaji unit competing together in next WCF

Regarding Rjax signing....how do you go from not playing at all to having a Player Option? I still think he can be useful, but this is a clear downgrade from BB.

Lakers, Clippers, Phoenix, Memphis...all got better during Offseason. Let's trust Calvin's vision. Summer League is going to be exciting

Will Hernangomez, PJ Washington and Mo Bamba are still free agents. I wonder if we could bring any of them for vet minimum. We are in need of back up C and I don't think that fit would be bad. If we plan to stick with Zeke on back up 5 I would love to se PJ as a back up 4. Most likely none of those are available

Wow, we just signed Pickett and Tyson to regular roster 4-year deals (Team option in year 4). They will not be 2-way players and our roster will be full once Julian Strawther signs his contract. This might be a new norm with second-round picks under the new CBA but it's somewhat surprising that they got both signed before summer league.

Looks like the opening day roster is probably set.

I should wait until Summer League, but IMHO really Poor offseason. I am sure this is first champion team ever with 5 rookies / sophomores. We don't have any backup center (Nnaji is not a center!!!). The strategy to build a bench who can compete in deep play off runs out of low first round picks and second rounders is extremely unlikely to pan out. Look recent Warriors example with lottery picks Wiseman, Kuminga and Moody.

Why not signing Tyson to a two contract and bring up a vet Center with minimum contract? Why spending TMLE (with PO!) in a player who got 0 minutes in Play Off? Use Brown example (x3 salary after playing with Jokic) to bring quality players.

1-2 quality vet players would have given us a boost at low risk. I am not sure this roster is better than last year's
