Melo's got a nice line apart from hist shooting (which AI more than made up for)..

I'm very impressed. We beat SA (granted minus ginobli) at their own game, a low scoring grind it out game.

Melo in particular impressed me. He really found ways to contribute when his shot wasn't dropping. I love his stat line.

And of course, AI was AI and hit big shots the whole game.

While we're not going to say this game made Denver an elite team.....this was an elite defensive effort.

GREAT GAME. Fundamentally sound basketball except for 4 minutes of the third. Melo got us going early and AI closed it well. But the defense is what deserves special mention. There was only one uncontested three that I saw. They played Duncan straight up and the hack a duncan worked as best it could.

My only complaint is with the fans at the game. I've noticed that the energy level has been dead for a while now. Its been so dead that it didnt bother me until that golden state game and saw their fans carrying that team through the rough spots. It seemed like the denver crowd only got into this game when it was about over. As fans we got to do better...fin

Damn, it was 76-77 they were ahead and I missed the end, what happened? How about Kmart and his defense tonight something that will never show up in a box score but was greatly needed to get this W.

this one feels better than 3 or 4 in a row. was a pretty good defensive game by the nuggets. nene, martin and camby all were great protecting the zone. HUUUuUgE win!

Melo was scoring at will in the 1st, but once he got hit and started bleeding he just couldn't find the basket. However, he was agressive on the boards, should've had 100000 assist, and played great man d. Funny thing is, he didn't play many minutes.

Another question and this has to be in caps because it frustrates me

JR PLAYED GOOD AGAINST THE WARRIORS ON SUNDAY! WHY THE HELL DID KARL BENCH HIM AGAIN? YET HE LEAVES CHUCK "I'LL MAKE A 3 POINT SHOT SOON" ATKINS IN.
