Based on first half performance... I think Marmol deserves to be in the ASG... He leads the league in holds w/ 22 and his last few outings have really upped his ERA to over 4, although it was hovering around 2.00 for the majority of the first half... He also is right around the top of the league w/ strikeouts per 9 innings

Hurdle picked Marmol because he had the next highest player vote total. Hopefully he doesn't pitch.

Sorry but he has no business on the team over the 3 guys I named. And I'm sure there is more guys that deserve it over him as well.

He will probably be unavailable since he just pitched 115+ pitches yesterday.

Well he should be named starter anyway. Or at least build a statue for the guy and retire his number in every stadium.

Anyone else catch Chase Utley's response to the few boos he got when introduced tonight?

"Boo?! F_ck you!"

It was immediately after that, like within 1 second. As soon as he said it the camera cut away abruptly.

What Josh Hamilton just did was the most amazing display of power I have ever seen. I don't care if he was getting BP pitches, that was AMAZING.

Every time Rick Reilly has opened his mouth tonight a a poor attempt at humor has come out. This guy is **** pathetic. It's unbelievable how (Please Use More Appropriate Word) he sounds...

Because the object of the guy throwing is to get the ball over the plate.

Lousy night to be an atheist? WTF does that mean? If I find religion will I smash homeruns like Josh Hamilton? Is my lack of faith hindering my ability to hit taters?

lousy night to be an atheist. who is this guy

The only epic fail tonight was Rick Reilly. That was by far the worst commentary I've ever heard during a sporting event. How many "I'm trying to be funny but I don't know how to be" things did this guy say tonight? Not to mention the fact that he gave Josh Hamilton nothing but backhanded compliments and it got to the point where it was just flat out pathetic. We get it, Josh is a drug addict.

Note to Rick Reilly: You don't need to say how he's "a heroin and crack addict" and how great of a story it is twice in a five minute span. Just because you thought it was funny doesn't mean it was, and it definitely shouldn't be repeated in case somebody didn't hear it. The worst part is that Hamilton isn't even a heroin addict, he's addicted to cocaine and crack. Read up on what you're talking about because "drugs" doesn't always mean heroin...and if you're going to say something stupid, at least say it correctly. Stick to writing where you can have your material edited because tonight proved that you're truly an unfunny bastard.

Sure he won't read that, but **** him anyway.

Agreed, never liked Rick Reilly to begin with. The most overrated sportswriter there is today
Brother Mouzone: You're the perfect bait. They will view you as conflicted, you're homophobia is so visceral.

Lamar: See that. I haven't even walked in the place yet and you're already calling me a c0cksucker.
