nah, it is "best player among top seeds in each conference". It would make a difference if Ravens were in NFC and took over Niners as the first seed.

I don't gamble.

He's just legit been great this season despite the turnovers.

I'm aware MVP goes to the QB of the best team so I don't see him as a favorite.

But if he wins the division with a great performance against the Dolphins week 18, he might win the award.

Like I said there will be voters who think he deserves one for past seasons.

Plus it's never good to have two candidates on the same team and with ranked choice voting this year, he might get a lot of 2nd place votes vs. BBB and CMC getting either 1st or 3rd/4th.

I'm saying it is a battle for best record on Christmas at the end of the season with the 2 QBs favorited for MVP. It will be fresh on the voter's mind. That might as well be a divisional game, it will be viewed like a Super Bowl preview.

Take off the homer glasses for a sec and imagine the outcry for Lamar if he goes into SF and beats Purdy and then loses MVP. That would be super controversial.

It's such an odd year. No clear standout performance by an individual. Purdy isn't truly deserving because he's not even the most valuable player on that team. But I'm not sure the last time a RB has won. Maybe AP? Bizarre.

No, tiebreakers are only necessary when there are ties. Not ignoring the 16 games that Purdy has been clearly superior wouldnt be controversial.

Unless there is a Purdy vs. Dak type of disaster.
