Mac Jones is an awful QB that they reached for in the 1st round out of desperation because they didn't want to go through the Cam Newton experience again.

Now, they're just stuck in mediocrity. Good defense, sludgy offense. Another 8-9 season coming right up.

Completely agree. Mac sucks. He’s an average system quarterback. He reminds me of a stiff from the 90s. Patriots are frisky - feels like a 8-9 season

He's Chad Pennington 2.0.

Good comparison. Hope he's out of the league fairly soon. I hate watching him play and his mannerisms

Agree with the Saints pick, I think I'd go Browns on the other game though. Cleveland D looked really good vs Cincy. Could be that Cincy somehow lost their offense though so hard to say.

Burrow was limping yesterday and trying to massage that calf.

Someone cited a stat, number of passes over 12 or 15 yards, the Bengals so far wasn't hitting too many of them.

Burrow may not need to escape the pocket but maybe he can't plant on that foot with the calf problem and drill throws.

I prefer the explanation that Burrow is pulling an Albert Haynesworth.

Mac isn't great. But Fields looks like a bigger bust.

Yes, sacks are a QB stat.

They don’t know how to use fields. There is also a conspiracy they want him to fail

It's just an excuse. The guy stinks. He doesn't pass the eye test.

True, but it's always 50-50 so hit some on some "suspect" lines. LOL. What are your picks this week anyway?

I lost the Jets game and also the Falcons game. I have Fins -2.5 or whatever now

Let me know when you will need a loan. :ouch:

He had open receivers all over the place yesterday. For some reason Fields can't go through his progressions and process what is in front of him. I agree with Jack here. Fields sucks. And from what I've been seeing from him so far this season he appears stupid. And you can't fix stupid.

The dude is so bad. First thing first, just a bad thrower of the football. He doesn’t throw it at a NFL level. I’m talking accuracy and knowing what kind of touch to use. He is just so inconsistent in those areas.

Then on top of that, he has no ability to read and breakdown a defense. He is still stuck on his one read kind of offense. And the problem is he has no clue what to do after that one read. You can see him freeze in the pocket over and over again. Multiple plays already this year where he has had a ton of time to throw with multiple guys wide open and he just breaks down. His #1 read doesn’t get open, he can’t see all the other open options, he freezes in the pocket and then panic runs.

If he only had one of these major flaws (inaccurate or reading defenses) I would say he would be worth the bumps and bruises because of his athletic tools. But with both major flaws, no thank you at all. I was never sold on him for these reasons.

2 games into his career, CJ Stroud already has more 300 yard passing games than Fields in his career…

But Bears OL, WRs and coaching have been bad his first two seasons?

Not sure yet if Eberflus and Getsy will be better for Fields.

Why were people optimistic that he'd make a jump? Did the Bears improve their line or get him better weapons?

Someone said this either yesterday or this morning about Zach Wilson, give him one read and if it isn't there, get out of the pocket and try to run for yards.

Maybe they should draw similar game plan for Fields.

Damn 101 sacks in less than 3 seasons. You'd think he'd be a little trigger happy or be prone to bailing out of the pocket early rather than hold it too long and take sacks, which is what people are criticize him of doing.

Watching this Saints game. I think the future of Justin Fields is going to be Taysom Hill. Just a gadget athlete that you put in a bunch of different places and can play a few gadget plays at the QB spot.

Also man Young is just so tiny out there.

Toe tap on the sidelines to keep a kickoff in play. Talk about a room temp IQ play haha

The QB play has been shockingly bad on Monday Night Football. Not sure what they were thinking putting these teams on.

Tucking the ball and bracing for impact is a football move.
