They do choke though when they are the favorites and fail to get the job done (again).

I think they worry we will get chip #6 before them. They had a couple chances since our last Super bowl. Now its out turn.

I am more worried we'll have to play the hot Packers team and lose our bye NFC title week.

Shanahan has a huge monkey on his back.

He's lost two superbowls with double-digit leads, I believe both in the 4th quarter.

Also has lost some other big games over the years including as 49ers HC.

Not sure yet but I certainly hope so - after Nico/Schultz/Singletary I don't have a ton of faith in guys like Metchie/Hutchinson.

It'd be cool if they limit the penalties too(looking at you, Tunsil).
We watched the tragedy unfold. We did as we were told, we bought and sold. It was the greatest show on Earth...but then it was over.

Oh come on. You can tell us the real reason you want the Packers. We won't bite.

That's true.

Obviously I hope he gets it off his back.

But over the years, he's squandered so many picks in the first 3-4 rounds. They've made up for it with great trades -- CMC -- and hitting on some late round players -- Kittle, Purdy.

Still those top pick misses have at least hurt depth.

And for all the praise he gets for play calling, he's had bad game management a lot of the times before the CMC trade.

We will see if he gets over the hump.

They are also Niners' punching bags lol. Niners struggle against Giants or afc teams like Ravens, Chiefs etc

Why don't you tell us your picks? Or are you scared and nervous? :D

I mean most would love to miss on high picks if you are going to get Purdy, Kittle, Warner, Hufanga, Greenlaw etc. Same thing with play calls, he made mistakes but you'll take those mistakes if you are going to get the best offensive mind in the game.

He really has been unlucky with quarterbacks both injuries and in quality. Part of it his fault(could have drafted Mahomes, wanted to hold on for Cousins) but also he has been very unlucky (injuries to Jimmy G, last year to Purdy).

Shanahan is the reason I like Niners lol, big fan of his intelligent management

rockmanslim wrote:Surprised Browns are favored over the Texans, even on the road. People really believe in Flacco, who's been washed up for years, bouncing from team to team? People aren't scared this is a fluke?

I've only watched highlights of Flacco's Browns games, but those highlights always include a Flacco pick, sometimes multiple.

Anyone have insight on why they're favored? Genuinely asking since like I said I don't watch full Browns games.

Browns defense is elite and gamblers are big on historical precedent: Flacco is so hot right now. Forget him bouncing from team to team the last few years; he was never that good of a QB outside of his magical 2012 season playoff run.
