Well apparently Jerry won’t trade unless people bring the trade to him

Cowboys really could’ve used a DT

That’s like their main weakness. Other than that they have a good roster

Disagree now. We spent a 1st on a DT and Osa has really stepped up and become a monster. Even in run defense.

I have yet to see a cowboys fan tell me they’re happy with Mazi smith

And the eagles spent a 1st rounder on a WR in 2020

They still had no problem drafting another in 2021 and trading another 1st rounder for AJ brown

I know mamba hasn’t been happy with the middle of the defense.

Cowboys have a very talented roster, they’ll be fine without another DT. But they 100% could’ve used one

Just like the eagles could’ve used a nickel

For a 3rd it’s the definition of 0 risk

I guess he hasnt been too far behind what he was

Chase Young was having a strong, resurgent season in Washington with five sacks and a 25% pass rush win rate at edge--even higher than his standout rookie season. Now he's joining one of the best defenses in the NFL.

His numbers are fine, but he doesn’t look the same, doesn’t have the same pop in his legs

If he was the same guy I’m not sure they trade him, and they definitely don’t trade him for a 3rd

They just got a 2nd for Montez

I would like to have a better DT for sure. I'm not high on Mazi Smith and wasn't when they drafted him either. Maybe he will turn out but Jordan Davis had a much better rookie year.

But I'm ok with the rest of the middle once LVE comes back. They have good safeties too. But Hankins is our best run stopper and he's ok but not what he once was.

At least the two games against the commanders should be a little easier.

Mazi looks like a bust but Osa has been spectacular.

Not that PFF is the end all be all but IIRC they have him ranked the 3rd best DT in the NFL.

Well they did a couple weeks ago anyway

That's because Bears are the worst run organization in the league.

Definitely one of them

But a 27 year old at a premium position is definitely worth a 2nd

I think it’s a good trade. I just don’t think chase is who he was, his explosiveness doesn’t seem the same to me. But he’s unquestionably a good player. He makes the niners better that’s what matters

So the commanders pass on Tua and Herbert and trade Young for a third.
Just brilliant.

Young has not lived up to expectations. They got a 2nd for Sweat because he's been far more productive.

Well that was my point. Was that young wasn’t what he was, and if he was they would’ve gotten at least a 2nd rounder

Them getting a 3rd is because he’s young, can still make use of his talent, but he’s definitely not the guy they initially had in his rookie year

He’s missed 2 seasons essentially

I think he’ll do well with the niners. But the niners spending a 2nd and getting sweat would’ve concerned me more than a 3rd for young. But he’s low risk high reward at the end of the day and I think at the deadline that’s the best kind of deal.
