Free agency starts in 50 minutes and there have already been some hot rumors and movement

Cromartie to the Jets

Peppers could be heading to the skins.

Browns are trading Corey Williams to the Lions as I write this

PHI will be minus one of their QBs by the end of the weekend. Wish I knew which one

Peppers to the Skins seems like a done deal, which means the Bears are going to overpay Kampman. Sounds like Antrell Rolle is heading there too but I think ARI will make a late push to keep him.

Jake Delhomme got released. He could wind up in Cincinnati very quickly. And no, CAR is not trading for Mike Vick--if they do it is against the wishes of their coaches.

Are the Skins playing a 3-4 or 4-3?

I think he's a better fit with his hands on the ground but I've also heard that they are making the switch.

They've sort of waffled on it. If they get Peppers they'll play 3-4 a lot more. Don't forget Orakpo is an OLB at heart.

I think they'll be in the RB market but I think they'll sit out the initial wave and get guys cheaper later on. Ladell Betts makes sense.

I've heard they've sniffed at the Lions about Julian Peterson, but that will wait until draft day, if at all.

Tribune's Vaughn McClure reports that Julius Peppers will visit Halas Hall later today, today being Friday. Deal could be imminent.

Julius doesn't like to travel, so that should be taken as a very good sign for CHI. They're not going to win a bidding war with Danny Snyder though.

Antrell Rolle looking like a Giant

ARI and CIN talking about Boldin

Lions talking to Dunta Robinson right now but I've heard he prefers to stay in the south

Lito Sheppard wants to go to New England, per Sirius NFL radio

Antonio Rodgers Cromartie was traded to the Jets for a 3rd (could become a 2nd) pick in 2011.

Interesting trade. Cromartie had a down year, it will be interesting to see if he gets picked on with teams avoiding Revis. An overrated, yet play-making CB, opposite of an elite cover corner. Seems similar to when the Raiders got DeAngelo Hall.

Schefter -- WR Nate Burleson to Lions on 5-year deal and Redskins meeting with Packers OT Chad Clifton tomorrow.

The morning:
--Seattle is going after Aaron Kampman
--Dunta Robinson will be a Falcon any minute now
--Jaguars are hotly pursuing Kassim Osgood
--Broncos are stocking up on linemen, with Rex Hadnot and Justin Bannon. They are talking to Mark Tauscher too
--Redskins top target is Chad Clifton
--Tampa will chase Willie Parker

The Corey Williams trade and the imminent signing of Kyle VDB in Detroit all but kills their trade interest in Glenn Dorsey, per a defensive coach. It does not mean they are not going to draft Suh or McCoy, however.

I don't even know what the Skins are doing. It's 9:30 and Julius Peppers isn't a Redskin? WHAT IS GOING ON? I don't even know what to do with myself.

Welcome to the Bruce Allen/Mike Shanahan era 8-)
There is some activity on the Thomas Jones front, not sure how serious though. Oh, and Tony Pashos is signing today. Way to get younger up front!

Do you see the Broncos going after and ex-Pats? I know how much Mac loves them. And any news on the BMarsh front? I am a believer that they won't trade him and that 1st round tender was just to knock him down a peg or two from believing he is the greatest thing since sliced bread. But I trust you more than my own thoughts :D

So:

Dunta Robinson
Chris Houston
Brian Williams
Chris Owens
Chevis Jackson
Tye Hill
Brent Grimes

That seems a little excessive.....

Kyle Vanden Bosch agreed to a 4 yr deal with the Lions. Corey Williams should be a Lion by the end of today. Nate Burleson will be a solid #2 WR opposite Calvin Johnson. Now we need some O-line help and a CB or two.
