I'm probably the biggest Monty critic but good on him for calling out this ridiculous reffing. **** has been happening far too often against the Pistons and he finally had enough. It's about damn time but better late than never.

Lmao at the end of the game. What the hell was that. Foul after foul not called. Then they call a weak and1 in the end. Inexcusable. Wish I could not do my job and continued to get paid. Great job NBA.

Pistons got screwed at the end but we didn't do ourselves any favors either. Too much Cade 1-on-1 iso ball, and not winning the 50/50 plays.

I see lots of 'oh the turnovers are the real problem.' You know what helps inflate turnovers? Refs allowing bumping, hacking, and pushing without seeing fouls. If you count obvious pushing alone at least 2 of the Pistons turns were refs calling turnovers because they wouldn't call pushing a Piston out of bounds a foul. Cade's tech came from protesting just that. Meanwhile, Brunson darts into people, throws his little head back and yells, then gets a trip to the line. "Lack of respect" is becoming a weird explanation for what's going on with the refs regarding the Pistons.

https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/39606868/crew-chief-admits-missed-foul-pistons-lose

Crew chief admitted immediately after the game it should have been a foul.

Betting is ruining the league, and its only a matter of time before its sinks it completely.

Oh, and by the way, because of the DUMBASS in season tournament, this game was SUPPOSED to be in Detroit, but yet again, the Pistons got screwed and it was played in NY.

I didn't even know that.

Man this league sucks ASS.

We played well, 2 close L’s to quality teams in a row. Could it be turning around a bit?
Grimes’ defense looks legit.
Following this team I didn’t realize a player is allowed to be good at D and shooting the 3 simultaneously. Weird concept.

Pistons played a really solid game and had it stolen from them. Obviously we suck and the game didn't really matter, but they need to revamp that review process for the last 2 minutes. There is no go reason that shouldn't have been looked at on the dead ball and corrected. I know the current process doesn't allow review on no-calls, but they need to change that. Refs missing a call is way more common than refs making a bad call and impacts the game just as much.

I was impressed with Grime's defense. He has hustle and seems to know how to defend hard without fouling. His offense is streaky though, especially the jumper, and his handle looks a bit suspect. Time will tell if he's a legit piece moving forward.

Simple solution be up by 5-6 points and take the refs out of it .

Sounds like we found ourselves a good 6th man and a going piece moving forward. Thank goodness he's young enough to move along with our core

Sasser + Grimes + Font + Ausar + Stew

That's actually a super exciting young bench unit that can get after it defensively. You are putting four shooters around Ausar which is what he needs to excel for sure.

Can we get two more good starters to go with Cade + Ivey + Duren with our $60+ million in cap space and our top 5 pick is the real question.

SO glad he used the Weaverism "re-store" instead of re-build.

“Just coming from the Knicks from the past few years having a lot of wins, I’m just trying to come in and bring some of the habits that I learned under [head coach Tom Thibodeau], and try to bring a winning culture, try to get it restored and uplift everything,” Quentin Grimes said during Monday morning shootaround at Madison Square Garden. “The only place you can go is up right now with this team.”

Easy as that! Every team would go undefeated if only they applied this logic!

I honestly want to experiment with Ivey-Grimes-Cade-Duren for a bit as well. I think Grimes can interchangeably guard 1 to 3 depending on how a team runs their lineups. And finally let Cade run amok guarding 3's instead of chasing smaller guards around like Brunson

Refs calling the and1 foul on Duren after swallowing the whistle on Ausar tackled is unbelievable
