why for detroit: superstar player who is limited currently by his coach. Milsap is also solid off the bench
why for utah: Dump disfunctional AK for solid veteran, young prospect and two serviceable players
POSSIBLY THROWN IN A FIRST FROM DETROIT???

Millsap = Maxiell. No reason to have both on the same roster.
Don't really see Utah doing it anyway. They don't have much reason to value Amir and trading both AK & Millsap for Dice is taking a step backwords in terms of production. Not to mention Dice is 32 or 33 and that is a young club building for the future.

And an even worse rebounding team, which is already a major concern for us.BDM22 wrote:I would do this in a second but it makes us way to short at the PF/C spots.
I do think AK is best at PF where he can use his ball handling and quickness to his advantage, but on this team it would present some serious problems.
I'd love the guy as a 32 mpg player backing up both forward positions, but not at $14 mil per year. I might even consider swapping Tay for AK just to give us a slightly different look, but we'd need to include a bad contract like Nazr to make it happen...and we don't have any of those anymore.

I don't think so. Maybe if Millsap were 6'10". and even then, there's no way in HELL I'd throw in a first-rounder. McDyess is our best rebounder and a much better scorer than Kirilenko.
Yeah.. Mcdyess has been really productive for us at less than half the cost when compared to AK's contract. It doesnt make much sense to take a max contract guy in when we dont get rid of a large contract ourselves. The only way I can see AK coming to Detroit, is if we trade Tay and expirings, but that might be not worth the gamble.
