Damon Stoudemire?

This guy has been on the trading block for quite some time now, I wonder why don't we try to make a deal for this guy? He's another veteran, he's a player that could really help out at the guard spot, no offense to Rodney or Aeron, but I'd take Damon over them in the playoffs anytime to say the truth; He can also spread the floor a lot more with his proven 3-Point Shot, I don't really have a "package", I'll have to check cap and etc. But what do you think of an attempt at getting him?

He's still a score first point guard, and he bogs down offensive flow with his one-on-one focus. But he might be okay for us. I'll have to think for a while how his impact would be different than that of Flip Murray. The three-point shooting would be a plus. What's his percentage this year?

A nice 39%, right around 40%, I have not even seen flip play in a while, Flip is also an offensive minded point guard, I'd like Damon a lot more then Flip.

He wouldn't be very useful if the Pistons are truly committed to Stuckey. Also, Hunter is a better choice to receive spot duty at the point once in a while as he is such a solid defender

I suppose; Lindsey does bring that defense, I just thought this guy would be a huge boost, as in Memphis coming of the bench gets right around 8 PPG, and 3.9 Assists. That is in 20.1 Minutes on average.

No, but he's a guy for the future, let this veteran squad grab another championship before there gone, then the "Re-building" process begins which should be very good and quick and fast for Detroit in the future with Stuckey, Aeron, Jason, Amir, and all those guy's, but if they want a championship in the next 1-3 years we could do it with the squad we have know, I just think Damon is that bit of boost that will give this team the edge.

I'd much rather continue giving Stuckey minutes, cause we need to develop our young-ins. Remember, the regular season is largely useless for us. We are judged solely on postseason success. So why not play the rookie? Even if he causes a few losses, the lessons he'll learn are invaluable, not to mention he'll be better off in future seasons.

It's not like Hunter really needs to play until the playoffs. I mean, didn't he not dress for several games, then play a game where he completely shut down Tony Parker?

yeah, if the Clippers could somehow be convinced to take back Flip Murray, Herrmann, and Brezec (the contracts pretty much match), I'd do it. Let Stuckey develop next season. Old Sammy can still go for 20-30 in any given night and is one of the most clutch players ever.

Then, with one of the open roster spots, the Pistons could sign back Webber. Maybe the team would be too old to accomplish it all though

^Well, if you believe Charles Oakely, not only is Sheed still smoking but he's already got at least 4-5 teammates to take hits with after practice. Any guesses who?

In any event, I dont think Damon is the answer for us, but the whole weed thing doesnt scare me.
