Im not saying he should shut him down but as soon as Rip went out Kobe went off. Afflalo came in with the lead and now were losing going into the fourth. Rip has done a better job on Kobe tonight.

I'm not asking to shut him down. I'm just wondering why he isn't playing defense on him. Prince is bigger with the wingspan of a 7 footer and is supposed to be an all-defense player.

Rip and Afflalo have done well on him but there is no reason not to have Prince on him if he gets hot, which he has.

keep in mind that Rip is hurting in this game, maybe he was taken out to keep him fresh for the 4th rather then run him ragged chasing Kobe around
