Duren and Sasser were players of the game

Honourable mention to Ivey for playing 48 minutes on a back to back and going 7/7 3pt

Man, this game took forever. A million fouls. With Pistons Live, it was 4 hours long. Glad we got the win. I wonder which new guy plays Saturday.

I'd like to see the Pistons go inside more. Not just Duren, but constantly go to the hole. Even on misses, offensive putbacks. On one play late, there was a floater/layup, but no, jump-pass to throw it all the way to the 3pt line, stolen. Enough of that ****.

Losing Bojan and Burks means a lot more shots from Duren and Sasser, and that’s a good thing. Duren should really be able to go off now.

He kinda gets lost and relegated to being the lob guy only when Cade, Bojan, Burks, and Ivey are getting all of the touches. That’s one thing that has worked well when Cade was out. He got more chances to get the ball and score. No Bojan and Burks should have the same effect. At worst it gives Ivey more touches and any misses at the rim are basically automatic putbacks for JD because of Ivey's gravity.

I'd honestly be pretty happy if Duren, Ivey, Cade, and Sasser all got double digit attempts each night. No reason not to. Once Stew comes back its really Stew and Ausar that are the guys that get a few less looks but the other young four need 10+ attempts but most nights none should get 20+ attempts. Keep those scoring looks balanced and I think it makes us harder to defend and gets everyone more involved and energized.

Sustained losing has an effect.

it's also watching other teams play the last couple years, it helps give context.

If the young guys coming back from 23 down, and winning the game in overtime, on a back to back, doesn't inspire confidence, I don't think anything will.

Not to mention that the Pistons, outside of Cade, were on the second of a back to back and were missing a bunch of guys themselves. No need to asterisk it, it's been a miserable season so why not enjoy the growth of a young team. We all know that the team still has a long way to go, obviously.

Just in time to be mired down with Evan Fournier for 30 mins per night.

The most shocking thing to me these past few games is that Duren is a bucket. If you don't double him he is getting a good shot. He really has post moves and good feetwork as shaq would say.

crazy statline by ivey by the way. he went 7/7 from 3 but only had a TS% of .550.

7/7 from 3 and 1/14 inside the arc with 3/6 from the free throw line to boot.

And just like that, Ivey is a 37% three point shooter for the year so far.

38 mins and then 48 mins on a back to back. Kid could run all day.

Duren is really coming on, honestly he and Ivey are showing more leadership then Cade I think. Whoever is coaching this guy seems to be good, Duren is becoming Olajuwon around the basket, he makes so many moves and finishes lately I think this is not a fluke moving forward, now he needs to get down a little jumper, which I think he can do also from seeing his free throws and he's a top center in the league. Anyways, it's nice to see a decent stretch of play and these young guys getting it done.

Cheers to Sasser/Duren/Ivey and Ausar has picked it up a bit too.

That's exactly why I don't watch past the 1st half of even the 7pm games.. Luckily, tomorrow's game is at 3pm ET! It's nice to actually type something during the game, especially half-time, or when my DVR is caught up.

Pistons about to finish with a better record than the Spurs, Wizards, and Bobcats
