The fact that Detroit hung in with arguably the best team in the west despite being killed by the refs is not the worst outcome.
How are you supposed to win with such horrible refs? It's impossible

He was BAD not solid. Watch the game again. You're annoying me with that craftedNBA thing, really. Watch the game and tell me with a straight face that he was solid on defense.

You know what BDM22 you were one of my favorite posters over the years, but at this point you're clearly just trying to get under my skin for no reason, so you do you, I am done with this crap.

As soon as the trade happened you were like "BAD DEFENDER", and even as Utah fans came and were like "Actually, he's a pretty a solid defender", your only retort was posting a link to CraftedNBA. Don't act like you'd previously done some deep dive on his defense before the trade went down.

Get under your skin? It's a discussion. We can disagree on players. You post here a lot, and I will reply to anyone with my honest opinion on their take if I agree with it or disagree. If it's hyperbolic stuff like "Disgraceful" was, you can expect people to give their opinions about it. That's what this place is for.

Good game and way to fight against likely the best team in the west. We lost, but we fought. Can't get mad at this lost with new players learning our system and our 3rd game in 4 days.

This team is on their best run of the season. BB+Burks must of been holding them back. I'm interested to see what Grimes adds

On/Off wise the team was much better when Bojan wasn't on, he's good offensively but gave up everything + more defensively

On/Off net rating per 100 poss:

Stew + 8.6
Duren + 4
Ivey + 4.1
Ausar +3.5
Sasser +1.2
Burks 0
Cade -1
Killian -4.3
Bojan -5.6
Wiseman -8.2
Livers -13.5

Per 100 possessions

You can really see just how dynamic the flow of the game is, both on offense, and defense with the new guys.

So many weapons for Cade to pass to now, is a sight to behold. Fettuccine played damn well, and gives you about 75% of Bojans offense, including cutting to the basket+lob dunks and drives to the lane, but much, much better defense then Bojan.

I liked Brown Jr. He is going to be a nice 10-15mpg game guy off the bench.

I'm really excited to see how Grimes fits in. Ausar was a monster defensively today, and you add Grimes comboing with him, oh boy, thats gonna be something.

Super excited to watch the rest of the years now, which is a complete 180° change from just last week.

All these guys are under 30 as well.

I missed this one, but it looks like we put up a good fight. Not surprised that Font is going to come out shooting he knows he's one of the best shooters on the team, he's an older player, and he's going to be playing for a payday. I expect him to be one of the higher usage players on the team much like how Burks would come out firing off the bench. I wouldn't be surprised to see him start until Stew gets back, which I think should be right after the all-star break we'll hopefully be a full unit for most of the stretch run.

I'm excited for the Grimes + Sasser backup guard combo as well might be the best defensive backup guards we've had since Hunter + Mike James came off the bench in that 04 championship run.

With just two games left before the all-star break, I'm hoping we can get one win and one close hard fought loss and we'll likely be going into the break tied with the Wizards at 9 wins.

As for the game- we played well for 3/4 of it, and 2-1 on the first 3 games of a road trip is great for us.

Hard to feel a strong sense of moral victory with this many losses under our belt, but objectively things DO look a bit better. It just doesn’t FEEL that way emotionally given how poorly we played in the fourth. We had no answer when they went small, which in fairness nobody has- it’s why they’re 27-6 since the start of December.

Those Livers numbers are brutal, and yet Monty was starting him up until that trade :o

Hopefully Weaver learned that he can’t leave the rotations up to chance.

If Monty is playing scubs, he has to trade or waive them lol

It’s still mind boggling to think the front office had to step in to get Ivey more minutes.

If you don’t like this guy’s attitude, you suck.

If you are purposefully calling him a type of pasta instead of his name, you also suck.

Simone can play. Obviously he’s not gonna average 20 or get that many shots most nights, but he’ll contribute on both ends and play hard. He could very easily be one of our starting forwards next year. We’ll be in better shape if he isn’t, but he’d be solid.
